Mid July order date here just coming up on 8 weeks max lead time originally quoted and getting antsy, 5 day response time from CBI with "So currently we are out of cross bars for most of our racks, the place we get our cross bars has their machine broke down and so at this point we are at the mercy of them to get our stuff." So no, no improvement in lead time yet with the transition as intended. Hopefully the quality is up to snuff and right parts are sent with it but I'll be sharing those results once I get the rack.

That excuse.. sounds like BS. sounds like my coming on 12 week old order, is going to take even longer.

And yes it's BS, at least I might have it by spring camping season.

Fingers crossed the prinsu will at least be high quality as i'm expecting.

Got my 4th gen rack in after close to 14 weeks. Man is it sweeeeeeet.
Its put together just need to find some more time to take the old stock one off and throw this on new up top. Everything was there except the tie downs I ordered.

just started exploring the prinsu,
lost on something, it says 2010-2016 full length, but then requires you to buy another bar to be compatible with newer gens.
Why not just make a 2010-201* kit with all 1x2"
and for the 201%-2018s include the 1x1 automatically... just something I cant comprehend.

it's one cross bar, i just turned it vertical and used the rear most hole to bolt it in. haven't had issues, and i've loaded up the entire rack. Not a big deal IMO. i'll probably end up ordering the 1x1 though, in black, for aesthetic reasons (my crossbars are clear coated, side rails are black)

I agree. It is pretty chintzy for them not to just automatically change out the rear cross bar to an 1x1 for the people who need it for their model years after all I would think the 1x1 would be cheaper for them than the 1x2. I think they are just using this as a way to get the extra $30 (which I bought) they charge for the smaller cross bar. I did look at it as at least I have an extra cross bar just in case I need or want one though. This might be just me trying to justify me getting charged extra for something that in my mind should be included.

I can not speak of the AluCab RTT but I can tell you that I frequently remove and install a CVT RTT on the 4Runner. I have a few straps in the garage that I use to hoist the tent up to the rafters and then lower when I want to install.
The best way I have found it just remove the two cross bars that are hooked to the tent and leave them attached to the tent.
There is almost no room to get a hand or tool under the bars for the install

My original estimated ship date is Oct 13th. I really can not wait to get this rack. I want it for Snowboarding season!
I've avoided calling them in hope that they are able to make the original ship date. I guess I'll be finding out for sure next week.

I ordered the full length for my 5th gen on 9/16. I got an email with my recipt but havent been able to make contact with them since. I think i will love this rack when i get it. It would be nice to know an est. Ship date. Im willing to wait but its hard to spend 1000+ and have no idea whats going on. I will post weekly updates.

Still waiting on a response from Zach on why the wind fairing sits on the roof unless I have 3 washers on top of the spacers. No wonder he sold the business.
CBI isnt much help either.
