My powder coating had scrapes and nicks in it. I never posted about it because I honestly felt like I had posted so many negatives already that it just sounded like *****ing at that point. Still waiting on a confirmation that Zach is sending out a fairing that fits. It's almost principal now, on getting what I ordered.

Bought some 3/4" tall spacers for rear and 7/8" tall spacers for front for a 4th gen. 3/8" ID fits better around the plastic sleeves on the roof nutserts and gives more surface area for the platform. Much improved the look.

I just posted a separate post because I didn't think people were still frequenting this post, but Blackout pointed out I should post here. See below.
I searched through the many Prinsu forums and didn't really see any mention of vibrations.
I just installed my rack (full length with cutout for light bar, no light bar yet) on Monday. It is installed on a 4th gen sport. I do NOT have the rubber foam thing at the leading edge of the wind deflector.
I am having pretty serious vibrations while at highway speed (60-70 mph). Initially I thought maybe it was my Maxtrax that I had put up there, but I removed them yesterday and it still exists. Out of curiosity yesterday while feeling the vibration, I rolled down the window and stuck my hand up against the side of the rack. It felt like it was going into some kind of resonance.
Has anyone come across this before? If you did, how did you resolve it? Does the rubber fix it? My rack seems like it is pretty far from the roof itself, so I am not sure the rubber will be large enough.
My next question is how much did everyone torque down the bolts (bolts to roof, crossbars, screws on wind deflector? I was worried about stripping them out so I didn't want to torque too much. I did as they said and torqued them until the lock washer was flat, but was scared to do more.
I will probably buy a set of spacers as Blackout suggested, because I'd like the rack to be closer to the roof. Not sure what this will do to my vibration.
Currently I have all of the cross bars at the rear most of the large slots. I felt this had them pretty uniformly spaced across the rack.

Only change one thing at a time if you want to figure out the cause and then test drive to cause the resonance after each change.
I suspect you're on the right track with trying to tighten down the bolts or messing with the spacing between the crossbars to make it so that they're not all equally spaced. It may be that the location of just one of the crossbars is causing the problem.

No vibrations here. I would maybe start with the cross bar, maybe double check things are some what square. I hand torqued my bolts to what I thought was tight.

Got load panel installed, mounts for awning, treds, hi lift and quick fist installed. Room for rotopax on load panel and Plano case between the treds and hi lift towards the rear. Test drive was rattle free! Also went over board on ordering tie down rings so $5 shipped each, M6 stainless steel with stainless carriage bolt stainless washer and nylon washer.

I'm really digging this rack. Anyone know the dimensions of the rack overall and the dimensions of the cutout for a 40" light?

I think they sent me the wind fairing with the cutout for a 40" I can check tomorrow.

4th gen? I just happened to measure for someone the other day. Crossbars are 47", side rails are 88" from tip to tail with about 80" give or take of "usable" space front to rear crossbar.

probably just a long enough carriage bolt. bolt head slides in the t slot.

I got mine in last week and finally found time to install only to find that the Powder Coat on mine was sub-par at best. Looks like it was tossed in for packaging was to soon. Both of the sides look like the pic throughout pretty annoyed and will be taking it down to a local shop to be redone.
Edit: I have been in contact with CBI not sure what they are going to say or do about this issue.
EDIT: CBI has taken responsibility for this and we have worked it out. I have to say the rack is awesome and hope to have it back from coating late next week.

I got my rack about 6 months ago and it didn't look like that at all. That's unacceptable IMO. It's really sad to see that quality control has slipped this much. You'd think that after the acquisition by CBI that things would get better but it seems to have gotten worse. Lead times are longer, QC is poor (ppl missing hardware, wrong number of spacers, poor power coating, etc), and communication can be hit/miss. No one should have to wait 12-14 weeks for a rack only to deal with QC issues.
Agreed! What I am most annoyed about is that I paid extra for this service and really do feel I should get a refund on that service. I am not sure what it is going to cost for another company to strip and redo but it should not be on me in the first place.

It really is ridiculous that an issue like that wasn't caught before having the rack shipped out.
With that said, I just got a call from my local shop saying that my rack came in. I'm going to go pick it up in a few hours. I'm going to go ahead and open it up in the shop and make sure my powder coating looks alright. If not I'll just have the shop deal with CBI. Fingers crossed everything looks good though.
