ANTMAN'S Thread

I popped on my Rigid optical amber covers just for kicks! I had to cut the covers to fit the 6" LED's as they only come in 10". Thanks go to SOcalTRAIL for trailblazing this one!

Should help in snow, right?

Here are some pics:

The hIdePOD MOD ;):

Haha. Just did a simple little MOD that some of you may like.

Every time I open the glove box my old IPOD kept falling out or it was taking up valuable space when I was trying to fit stuff in there. So, I figured there was a way I could get it out of the glove box. There is, and it's really easy!

There is an access panel on the left side of the glove box. Pry here to open it.

Look at all that space!

I used a 1/8" bit to cut a small slot in the panel for the USB cord to pass through.

The IPOD and the cord fit into a nylon pouch to keep things neat and tidy. Everything fits behind the access panel with room to spare.

Final result- The hIdePOD!

Merry Modding fella's!

Love this idea...Antman...Thank you yet again...the list of must do Antman mods keeps growing and growing!

 Cheers!

I love yellow lights, how's it look sitting in the cockpit?

SORRY rebelbowtie- I missed this post!

They look a lot less bright with the lenses on.

I was surprised by this- but I think one of the reasons the Rigid's look so bright is the color temperature. They are extremely white.

The amber covers should be awesome for the next night time snow run!

Pretty slick there Antman!! I tend to just use the aux plug for mine. I hate how slow it is to go through the music through the headunit. Plus I take mine in and out all the time.

REALLY liking the flush mounted scangauge as well!!

I have to ask Antman...does the elastic strap on the top of the glove compartment not hold your iPod well? Mine stays put and out of the way...or do you just like cutting up perfectly good plastic panels? :D

I tried that strap but gave up. I like cutting stuff up too though. :)

Nice Mod, and may do the same. But I would first need to buy a iPod. And then find somewhere else to hide the heroin.

Nice mod! I wouldn't be able to use it though, because I frequently remove my iPod to add music. I also use the cable when raping other people's music collections...

Antman's mod list keeps growing.... hard to keep up with.

Thanks Antman... I did this with a sharp knife while waiting to get an oil change this past weekend. I took my time and made a really nice smooth cut out for the cable. Probably took me 15 minutes total. Didn't have to wait in line too long either. Maybe had something to do with holding a knife :lightsaber: while waiting...not sure though haha!

These types of deliveries do not make the UPS guy too happy. I think he was even more pissed when I jumped into his truck and started unloading these suckers myself..

I just love 'em.

Couple of observations.

These arrived in PERFECT condition from Discount Tire Direct. Aired up to 80 PSI and ready to rock. All I had to do was mount them and let some air out. Sweet!

Each wheel/tire combo weighs exactly 13 lbs more according to my bathroom scale. Stockers weight in at 65.4 lbs, Level 8's at 78.4lbs. Granted, my Bridgestones are just about toast (36,500 miles) but still significant.

Everyone that says Duratracs don't make noise are liars! They have a small pleasant hum that I really like.

The 4Runner rides and looks completely different now. Much firmer but not at all harsh, just like others have stated. Feels much more planted and in control.

Sooooooo- I have just one question for you guys.

What are you gonna make fun of now? HUH?
