I'm a ham currently running a 5w HT with a diamond mag mount.... Nothing fancy but lets me hit the local repeater for my commute to work.... Just found a Yaesu 1500 which I will be mounting on the side of the center console probably using velcro since I don't want to put any extra holes in my truck...
