Any info on the 2016 T4R?

Only way i see that happening is if they dropped the land cruiser as well as the sequoia ,which they have talked about dropping since it doesnt sell much compared to the tahoe and expedition. But i still don't see it getting a v8. Which it would be the current 4.7 more than likely, which is still behind others in terms of power, efficiency and weight.

All of the websites (Edmunds/KBB etc) seem to indicate 2016 4runner will come with optional V8. I had a 4th gen 2006 V8 limited and loved it. Unfortunately it was wrecked in an accident.

MPG (mixed) with the V8 I had was 19 but still had the power and torque to tow. It will be interesting to see if they do offer the V8 and if so, I'd buy it in a minute over the Sequoia. I don't always need the room the Sequoia has nor the $60K price tag all decked out.

you keep waiting for that v8 in a new 4runner. let us know when you buy one

Ordering for the 2016 4Runner opens June 1. first deliveries are expected in the US September or late August at the earliest. 2016 will be identical to 2015. 2017 will be the 6th gen.

So knowing this info you still went ahead on buying a 2015 model? I'm in the same boat and want the 4runner but so hard to when in a year or 2 we will be seeing the 6th gen! I should just pull the trigger but might have to see some spy shots and what the new gen will have!

Yes I went for the 15, upgraded from a 13 and love it. Two years is a long time who knows what the future holds. I don't buy first year vehicles so if the 6th gen is hot the timing will be perfect for my 2018 order.

That's fleet info which is good , But Retail U.S. dealers are on a different notification program for order dates and final build out dates.I can't post a link. But the latest info I have says,
Retail dealer order banks for the 2016 4Runner open 06/01/2015 at this point, And will be same as 2015.

Yes I went for the 15, upgraded from a 13 and love it. Two years is a long time who knows what the future holds. I don't buy first year vehicles so if the 6th gen is hot the timing will be perfect for my 2018 order.

Just curious on how much on average you lose upgrading after 2 years?? I assume you purchase your vehicle then trade it in for the upgraded model?
Say about 10-15 grand you lose ?? Just curious is all

I purchase a new 4Runner every couple years or so and never trade in (not even a tax advantage in CA) I sell to private parties using kbb full retail as a guide and sells within a week. I allways pay cash so no finance charges added. $36,890 + T&L for my 2015 and sold my 2 year old 36k mile 2013 Trail for $33,750 and of cource the tax and fees I paid. The combination of a good quality vehicle made in Japan in limited production numbers and strong demand equal high resale. It cost some (maybe 7K) but overall not bad, just getting rid of that stupid fender antenna was worth the money (lol) . I love these 4Runners and can't wait to see what the 6th gen looks like.
Note : The dealer offered me $30,500 for my 2013 as a trade in. I declined.

Cool thanks for the info! I was just curious since I was thinking of maybe doing the same if I like the 6th gen whenever it comes out. You only paid about $37k for your 2015 limited model??!! Wow over here the lowest price I got for a 2015 5 passenger Limited model was $48,400! Still trying to get it lower.....

it is already middle of May 2015, I still dont see any info regarding to 2016 T4R. I recalled that the 2015 t4r number was out before May 2014. Did I miss anything?
