Any REAL Bull bars for the 2010 in the works?

Hey Grizz,
Aries has created a Bull Bar specifically for the 2010 4Runner...I ordered one on ebay...i believe the seller has several left in stock. Looks damn good on my black SR5 too...Ill see if i can post a pic.

Here are additional pics of the Aries Bullbar on my SR5, as requested.
I liked the Westin bullbar too, but for those of you deciding, my decision was based on the fact the Aries bullbar is cheaper (almost $100), made from the same grade steel and is not as often seen on trucks (westin is more popular and been around longer). In addition, the Westin and Aries differ with the black caps on the welted joints of the Westin while the Aries one (or Steelcraft) have all chrome..

So as for a bull bar what are you expecting? What would be different to make it useful? It's a bull bar not a full front end brush guard.
ciaz, if these are not functional (I'm assuming you were referring to all) what bull bar is functional and what function is it that you want it to preform that these will not?
Please tell and expand vs. I don't like it's not functional. It would help more if you stated what is better or why it's not functional.
To my understanding the bull bar is a body protection item. Granted it's just for partial frontal protection. A full brush guard would be needed for full frontal protection.

Based on the limited pictures provided, where these bars attach and how they attach is the problem. The aluminum bumper is directly behind the lower portion of the fascia, where the middle crossbar goes. Because of the apparently weak link where it bolts to the vehicle, in any impact that bull bar is going to crush the painted fascia into the aluminum bumper underneath. What would have been a minor scratch now requires body work and possibly replacement airbags.
But hey, it is shiny!
eace:Blacknight, I think the useless comment was directed at the Broadfeet guards and silly looking rear bumpers earlier in this post. The one on yours looks good, but I dont know what it looks like where it is attached. Like Seattlemike mentions, if the bar is not attached or made properly. It will do more damage than good especially if an air bag goes off !!!

The three bolt bracket that the bull bar hooks to is bolted to the frame of the vehicle. One of the bolts share a bolt with the front tow hooks. Connection is very firm and any impact will transfer to the frame. Yes, very a hard impact will most likely force the bull bar up into the bumper. But that impact will totally destroy the front end anyway. lesser impacts should not cause any problems. There is about 2" of space between the bull bar and the bumper.
