I tried a couple times to record a video to get you guys a sound clip. Unfortunately you just could not hear anything...it was a great shot at my muffler for about two minutes though!

I recorded some interior sound clips with my iPhone voice recorder app. I Have no way to post sound clips though. They not too great but you can hear it in the background. If anyone wants the clips, pm me your email address and I'll send them to you. I'm planning on going off road Satur-day so hopefully I'll get some videos to post up.

i had a magnaflow 12256 installed a week ago, its louder than i wanted so i just ordered a 12586 to replace it. its not overbearing by any means just louder when cruising than i would like. i will have the 12256 if anyone is interested to pick one up cheap, say like 50 bucks. it only has about 300 mile through it.

I'm surprised nobody has put on a Flowmaster 40 or Cherrybomb Vortex. I've as read good things about the Borla XR-1.
Mufflers are all about the sound you are going for though. Some like it loud, some don't.

I have the Magnaflow muffler installed as well and it was $230 with tax. I don't know what model it is but it's 18 " long by 9" wide. I had a flowmaster 40 on there for about 3 minutes and I went back to the shop to have it taken off. The magnaflow has a nice sound with no interior resonance unlike the flownaster. I'm very happy with mine- sorry no sound clip just my 2cents worth!!

Sounds like they charged you about double.
I think it's always best to buy the muffler online and have the shop weld it on.
