Some fender flares, are we eh?
IMG_0108.JPG

Recent news: Finished the fender flares (finally) they still look rubbish but that's in style with the rest of the truck, and never the less I'm gonna have to repair them next time when I brake an axle *sigh*.

Still workin on 'improvements' on the hydro assist... Pleh, tryin' to move the steering's drag link in front instead of keepin it behind the axle, quite a pain in the butt (I don't like doin' that cause I know I'm gonna bend 'em like snickers, but oh well, gonna 'beef 'em up abit' before.. heh)

Noticed whilst doin' that, that one of my spindle bearing ate some water for brakefeast, and well. Completely fell apart upon dissemble... Not really surprised how bad the steering has been lately.. lol

will try to add more pics tomorrow of the progress...

Antennas

One daytime picture?

At a trip in August. One week of drivin' in the highlands of Iceland. This pic is taken close to Landmannalaugar.
Running 38s, IFS still on and my spare tire on top...

Will post all of the pictures on my gallery at ulfr.net later this weekend. :P

Ok, so what is the antenna in the front for, and what kind is it?

I guess you're talkin' 'bout the white mushroom on the hood. It's an garmin GPS antenna. I relocated it last winter and now it's on the roof rack these days.

I've been too busy and too lazy to post some pictures or even add 'em to my website...
*sigh*

Ok! I know.. I've been lazy postin' pics... As in last winter, I ruined my front bumper, and bent most of the things in the front of the truck... Well. For this winter, I was gonna make something 'abit stronger. To withstand the ice.

this time, I promise I'll post more pics later this weekend!

Oh yeah, forgot to tell. This is the sleeping room in my 4runner. :P And also the basement for my tools and such, so they wont come flying at my head when I roll this one or jump some serious lengths...

Picking up a 93' 4Runner today.

Well well... Time to resurrect this thread once more.

Went on a trip to a mountain hut called Setrið at the first weekend of December... and well, it was the end of Undanfari II as we know it.
A small river was in the way and doin' 60km/h was not the best speed to hit it at..
(Sorry no pictures at the moment)
BUT. It's not the final end...
Because this is what will be used to improve the 4Runner.
This BJ60 (1985) will be donor of axles and hopefully something more.

Is Undanfari II back to life?

In a way yes. I fixed the damage from the collision and got it running, but it's not in it's best shape to be honest.

Work and other time consuming projects have made a huge cut on time available for the truck, however, it'll be going in for some rebuild in the following weeks...

I guess it's time to revive this thread once more.

Undanfari II is under a complete overhaul at the moment after lying in my shop for few years.

Mostly working on the rear end of the body for the moment, preparing it for the larger tires.
