Met a guy at a Mtn bike race a few months ago that was raving about aqua tune. I live at altitude and I'm prepared to drop the cash on a super charger if TRD would ever release one for the 5th gen. Sounds like this system would increase efficiency and output.

Has anyone ever used this or similar type of system? Hoax?

A quick googling pulled up some tests to showed this system actually reduced power and increased fuel consumption. If any of these gizmos actually worked they would install them at the factory, $50 worth of parts for 20% increase in power/fuel economy toyota would be all over that.

Hoax?

As the water is brought into the echo chamber, the water is violently torn apart by cavitation and frequency as well as a static charge. This, in turn, loosens the bond between the hydrogen atom and the oxygen molecule. Hence, the cracking of the water. This cracked water now enters into the hydrogen generator powered by a 12 volt power source.

Absolutely not - "loosening the bond between the hyrdrogen atom and the oxygen molecule" is a key component of my perpetual motion machine (actually it's not just perpetual - it will pull a load and make power from nothing but water and bull $hit).

Really, it's not important that H2O means two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom - no oxygen molecule. What's really important is that you believe that the "promise" of 25% more hp from hydrogen with absolutely zero recalibration of the complex fuel/air calibration curves is not just possible, but will fit ANY vehicle on the road and give that same "promise" for the low low price of $778.50 (plus shipping).

Question: do any OEM's in the WORLD offer something like this? No? Even though claims of 25% efficiency increase? If it worked as claimed it would be a cheap way for them to meet CAFE standards. Toyota and other OEM's spend billions each year to eke out a few percent of efficiency gains. To answer directly, no. Save your money.

Most people are idiots. Just because they have a similar interest as you doesn't preclude them from being idiots. Save your money for the supercharger or new gears.

Heh, well, water injection is real enough, and it can be beneficial in some circumstances. Engines have used water injection for various high power application such as fighter engines. GM even had water injection for cars for a while (the dash in my 86 Buick still had a "water injection" place in the dash that would have lit up if there were a bulb/circuit for it...). As others have pointed out, this whole hydrogen production thing is a bunch of BS. Water injection can stave off knock though, which is the reason it was used... There are better, easier ways to do this, such as adjusting timing, increasing octane, etc.

I agree that you'd be better off waiting until the TRD supercharger comes out. I know I'll be eager to get one of those.. :)
