You think the government is controlling your idle??

This is nothing to worry about. Your ECU is doing it's job.

Hi Idle at 1900 ! Should be under 1600 !!
My point there should a range that is acceptable RPMs !!
AND Dealership should be able to document that number !

Would love a little high idle

High idle on cold start is normal. The engine is programmed to run a little high to get the cats warmed up (they don't work well cold). It's an emissions thing, and not unique to Toyotas.

True high idle should be " a little high" mine is 1900 RPM !! On a warm Sept morning ! I would accept anything under 1500 RPM ! To me my idle is racing the engine !

This is very exciting ! It's making me a little tense waiting to see what it could be !! Will it ever be resolved by the dealer ????? I'm not sure !!! "Let us know" ?!
