btw Melinda aka Ruffian is going out off roading in your area on Sunday around ForestHill, there is an open invite there. I may or may not go, not sure, Im trying to talk the wife into letting me go hunting next weekend

Right. The point of this thread is that the only way I could get the Bridgestone Revos that I've used on past vehicles was to upsize to 275/65 R18. That's an inch larger in diameter, so I decided not to do it and try these stock-sized Michelins instead.

Yesterday I drove 250 freeway miles on mostly poor pavement, and I can report that these tires are as quiet as the stock Bridgestones. We haven't had any snow for a couple of weeks, so no report on that yet. As for mud performance, I've read on this board that none of the A/T tires are really good. I have no first hand opinion since our climate doesn't present a lot of mud.

true..... i am trying to compare the users feedback on A/T tires, since i am still running stock X-terrain, they are excellent on road, but off road has a limit compare to a true A/T tire.
these LTX are kind of pricey to me, but if they do anything not worse than X-terrain on road, and better than X-terrain off road, then i guess it is worth to invest in a set.

I gave the running boards a month-long trial to see if I could get used to them. I couldn't. They always seemed to be in the way, and they got my pants dirty stepping over them. After I took them them off, I found the vehicle looked a lot better without them!
