August 2016 Meet and Run ...Idea Plan

+1 for the weenie list -I will be on a overnight offshore fishing trip the 27th and in AZ Sept 3rd :fishing:

Sounds like a sausage fest with all the weenies around here :hiding:

The poker run should get postponed for late September :spy:

Hmmmmm.... Weird, didn't hear about that. Gonna run up Monache Meadows for some camping, fishing and hiking for a few days. I'll let you know what's open still [emoji6].

I'll be mostly around Lake Isabella and Kernville on Thursday but I was going to head up into Monache Meadows Friday just to check it out. You see a Galactic Grey 4th gen with a snorkel tooling around flag me down!

No worries...I was just about to post that this will be cancelled and that we will just be doing a meet and run somewhere of cooler temps (big bear) and will be saving this for another time...

For the runs in the future I see the first post says HAM radio. Just want to confirm that and not CB before i buy one. Thanks! Look forward to whatever is coming. Just not devore

Yeah just pick up any of the Baofeng Handhelds as an cheap and easy solution.
Which is what everyone is using during our runs.

LOL no Devore ...got it.

Funny you mentioned that...

I just messaged [MENTION=77357]85straight[/MENTION] last night with two run option ideas I had

1. Big Bear

Starting at Rattlesnake Canyon (Rated Blue Moderate) from the base of the mountain on the backside of big bear working our way up to the top take a few selected trails over to Clarks Grade (rated Blue Moderate) and shoot that down to the base of big bear...Basically up and over the entire mountain...and for of us that want to camp we will shoot back up to a designated camping area..for the rest of the group will just continue onto the freeway and be that much closer to home ...

2. Joshua Tree

Starting off at Berdoo Canyon taking that up into JT taking a few selected trails over to the Old Dale Mining District and running multiple trails through out the Inyo Mountains to different mines which there are quit a few (rated blue Moderate) trails to access the mines actually some really good trails and killer views and then camp at a selected camping destination for those who select to not camp can shoot back down Berdoo Canyon or another trail I know of ..or go out the front gate of JT to highway 62 to the 10 fwy but going out the front gate you will have to pay the original entrance fee of 15$ bucks or just purchase a year pass for $30...ask me how I know being that I'm an annual pass holder. But it's also cool cause it goes towards our National Parks to stay open for our enjoyment.
 
So here it is ...

Which ever of the two trail run/camping gets the most votes by tomorrow night that will be our August Meet & Run for this month...

So just post which run you would prefer and that will be your vote.


And for those that will be camping we will do a night run to put some use to those Led Mods such as light bars, pods, rock lights, disco lights etc...and go have some fun
