Just got off the phone with Coastaletech. They said they will be shipping out the lockpick 2's sometime next week. So much for 2 week shipping

Well, it's officially been one month since my order. Every time I contact coastaletech.com they tell me "The lockpick 2 will ship next week." I did contact them, and they offered to refund my $$$, but I'm gonna hold out another week or two and see if this thing ever ships.

Owning a small business myself I am always amazed at the pure stupidity of how others conduct theirs. These days with email and cell phones there is absolutely no excuse for it but alas it seems their preferred way:

A Google Search brings back nothing but the same from many other places as well.

Lets just hope that despite their customer contempt the damn thing works.

Interesting. Had I read those reviews of coastaletech, I would not have ordered. I'll give them a few more days, then get a refund if it still has not shipped.

Note too that many also say that the product works.

Have you actually talked to anybody there about the delay or are they just ignoring you?

Of course I have a selfish reason for you not to cancel your order.....

Yeah, I've actually been able to get a hold of a real person from time to time. They almost never reply to emails or answer the phone. I really want the module, but I don't like giving them $230, and getting nothing in return. A little customer server on their end would have gone a long way. They could have at least sent everyone who ordered an email stating there would be a delay, and not just leave us in the dark. I can't believe they still have "PLEASE ALLOW UP TO 2 WEEKS FOR SHIPMENT" on the site.

Besides, I could have used the money for other purposes. Don't tell anyone, but I was secretly contacted by a Nigerian prince who needed my help to get his fortune out of the country.... :biggrin2:

Here's the finished product. I ended up mounting the dvd player in the glove box after all. I then ran the remote sensor into the vent to the left of the nav.

I also connected an ipod A/V cable and ran the cable into the center holder thingy for easy access.
