I took a trip through a few hundred miles of buggy farmland after getting my truck and did a similar trip after installing a bug deflector. I believe that there were fewer bug splats on the window after the installation of the bug deflector. It also seemed that it works better to deflect "soft" bugs such as butterflies than "solid" bugs such as bees or beetles. This conclusion was reached by comparing the aftermath of carnage between the grill and bumper and the windshield. I also narrowly missed a deer, so the next addition will be a Shrockworks bumper.
