badge tape/glue removal

pulled my SR5 badges off today and I still have tape/glue residue. I usually use some PB Blaster to dissolve glue when I do this, but I don't want to harm my paint or clear coat. what's the best product to remove the glue residue?

Hit it with an eraser wheel first then spray on some Rapid Remover. Works amazingly and doesn’t hurt paint. Sometimes I go over the area with Adams Finishing Polish if it’s an older vehicle just to get rid of any outlines.

WD-40.

Rub it into the residue with your finger, so it saturates the residue but doesn't drip off. Let it sit an hour or so, in the sun if possible. Should rub right off with maybe just a little extra thumb pressure.

Thanks, I used this lube we have at work called zep 45, it's the same as WD40. Used a shop towel and it took a bit of effort, but the glue is gone.. then came another problem.. swirls.. thanks Sauer for the polish tip.. I hit it with some polish and damn.. I think it's still gonna need a few more hits but it looks great..

Lighter fluid also works...
but it smells just like Goo Gone, so it's probably the same recipe.
Buy whichever is cheaper!

This is really the only thing one should use to remove any residue or gunk from modern paint... works on auto glass and plastic too. Even PPF.

I hit mine with a heat gun (like a hair dryer only stronger) and then used dental floss to get behind the lettering / badging and it came right off.
Heat or chemicals is really the only solutions I've seen so far.

If you looked on Amazon, 110 bucks was for six quarts I believe. A spray can of that stuff is 15 bucks at Oreileys and lasts years...

I also use the 3m adhesive remover-- it's good stuff.
