More than embarrassed with the replies... how ever I'm glad i sought some feedback in my idea for a seemingly jimmy rigged body lift
In other news I plan on running by a couple of junk yards this week/ weekend to try to find some Tundra TRD coils seeing as to how mine are shot (after 210K you'd think so) as well as some tubing so I can head down to Tyler, Texas this weekend to see a fraternity brother who is a professional DIY kid and a very good welder.

The reason I responded the way I did is becasue I've SEEN what happens when someone tries to make a body lift, but has no idea what they're doing while trying to accomplish the task.
I've had a buddy almost loose his fingers because the block he was using broke and the body slammed down. The only thing that saved his fingers and hand was that I put the jack up as high as it would go, and the body hit that and rested on it. He had less than an 1/8 of an inch between his hand and the body of the Runner.
I've had some close calls in Afghanistan, but, that deffinately puckered up my butthole.
I've also seen people brag about the lift they made, only to get into the truck and find out the door doesn't shut right because the body lift broke and is tweaking the body so it doesn't line up right, and the truck tilts while driving down the road.
Anyway... Back on topic.
I, along with anyone else on this forum, would rather you ask a question, then not ask one. You remember what your teachers use to say?

That's exactly right. There is a reason all of us are here.
Weather you think a question is stupid or not, ask it anyway.
Would you rather get the little bit of "embarrassed" feeling, or so something that is going to either kill you or ruin your truck.
Hey, at least we're not like the asses over on TTORA who think they're god's gift to anyone Toyota and will flame you for anything.
(I know there's TTORA members here; I, myself, am one of them. But this site is A LOT better at helping people out than TTORA is. I mean no ill will toward anyone on TTORA, nor the vast amount of knoweldge there is on that site. I just feel that it can be portrayed in a different way then the majority of the members over there do it.)
