Bare with me...please, but really

unless its for an engine swap, they serve no functional purpose, other than make room for a larger tire.

they generally cause more problems then theyre worth. and, a rig with a body lift looks terrible.

i say do it correctly, and just deal with suspension. where you will actually get a performance gain.

So this looks terrible?

You, Sir, need to go back under your rock that you just came out of.

Body lifts, DO NOT look terrible. AND, they serve MORE than the porpose of bigger tires or an engine swap.

I am running a 1.5" BL, and, without it, I could have NOT done what I have done to my rig.

Here's some things I COULDN'T have done without my BL:

-1.5" ENGINE LIFT

-CUSTOM CROSSMEMBER, LIFTING TRANSMISSION 1.5", GIVING ME A FLAT BELLY

-AND A BUDBUILT CLOCKING RING, CLOCKING MY TRANSMISSION 15*.

Oh, and FWIT, I have had NO problems with my body lift.

Suspension lifts are great, BUT, when you flex, you still have a limitation. Keep the tires from f*cking up your body and DO A BODY LIFT.

Again, go back under the rock you came out of Sir.

I WILL give you the massive body lifts do look a little ridiculous. But, just so you know, there is more to than using a body lift for JUST tires or an engine swap.

yes, it doesnt look good when you can see the frame.

and for the record, i dont consider a 1.5" to be a LIFT. when someone says body lift, i think the full 3". if you're adding a small spacer for clearance, thats something else. altho, i would still avoid it. id prefer to have the body as low as possible.

and, my OPINION stands, avoid a body lift. do it correctly, and work the suspension over.
if the tires are still hitting the body, you dont have the suspension set-up correctly, and/or you're running too big of tires.

Well, you're entitled to your opinion.

I think I proved my point when I said they aren't good for just engine swaps and bigger tires though.

Sorry for taking so log to respond. I was elbows deep in my Runner.
