I just thought of this when I've seen modded T4R's who I suspect are an active member of this forum.

If it's another built 4R I wave, though I don't see them that often unless at a meet :)

Would be weird and exhausting to wave to every 4R on the road :D
 
Was my favorite part of owning a WRX for sure.

But, I don't think the culture is the same. Most Runners I see are driven by middle age women.
 
With the number of 4Runners on the road here in Phoenix, I'd likely get tired after the first few miles...

I remember 30 seconds after leaving the lot with my brand new Jeep I had a Jeep Wave. I was pretty excited.

A lot of 4Runner owners are older and/or mom's. I always try to make eye contact on the roads but most people are so oblivious. I do see the occasional younger looking guy. One guy lives on my street and I usually give him an acknowledgment when I see him on the road and he usually returns the gesture. I voted "no" however because it's very uncommon. I should try it out more.
 
When I had Land Rovers most waved - Mostly because they're so rare around here.

Toyotas -> there are so many of them! Mostly Camrys and Highlanders though -
 
People out here are just plain unfriendly. I got a lot of looks when I first got my runner, but nary a wave. Now there are so many more on the streets it's just too common a sight. I like seeing all the first and second gens though (but I don't wave at them).
 
Nope, never received a wave. I'll get some looks every once in a while from stock 5th gen owners but no actual acknowledgement. I have yet to drive by another "modded" 5th gen while in mine. This is after 7 months of ownership and driving all around my state lol. Most of the owners of 5th gens I see are older women or older guys(40+).

When I owned my M3 I'll either get a nod/deuce or mean mug in an attempt to race.

But seriously I've only seen enough rigs with t4r.org stickers driving to count on one hand. They all look at me like :tinfoil3: because each time I was driving my miata..
 
I usually give the three-fingered Elvis acknowledgement if I approve of their setup

I'll throw a wave or thumbs up if i see a modded 4R. Saw a stock Inferno TRD PRO and thew the guy a thumbs up... he just looked at me like :crazy:
 
I remember the Jeep wave when I got my YJ back in high school long before everyone had a JK and the TJ just came out. Thought it cool and of course waved back.

A few years back when I owned a 2dr Rubicon (for all of 3 months before a 4 time DUI old man with no insurance totaled it.....in a frkn retirement community, obviously a bit still bitter...) the wave kind of got on my nerves. Jeeps are everywhere now, nothing against them or their comorodity, but if one were to wave to everyone in a Wrangler your arm would get awfully tired lol.

I'll admit to waving/nodding/or somehow acknowledging a fellow 4Runner driver that's obviously put some work into their rig though. Definitely not as common to see and often tryn look for a T4R decal while I'm at it.
