I have been waved to--and waved back at--two LC drivers who live up my road, and some kid who drives a Tacoma.

All are modded. I have never seen another modded 5th gen 4Runner, except when it was on purpose, like hanging out with [MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION] and [MENTION=79954]DiggetyDan[/MENTION]

My husband drives 4Runner to market, comes back and asks, "why is some dude in a Land Cruiser waving to me?"

I prefer not to get into any specifics, it is not my intent to outright offend anyone.

Imagine this, some driver cuts you off nearly causing an accident, then politely waves and smiles at you as if it what they did was perfectly acceptable behaviour. This has happened more times than I can count. Or could it be that UT has the highest prescription anti-depressant usage in the nation?

In parts of rural MT we wave, regardless of what you drive, at every vehicle - all 2 or 3 an hour - probably a neighbor and maybe a relative.

I've noticed I get waves when I'm in my YJ and run across another YJ or XJ or if it's a modded one. Otherwise they are oblivious.

I would've literally been doing this the entire time :hello: if I hadn't gotten tired of it and realized how ridiculous it in fact was, after about 5 minutes.

Since then, I'll sometimes wave at people I know, or if someone on a bike waves while we're out in the middle of nowhere.

When I had my FJ, people with modded or TT's would occasionally wave.
Never any soccer moms or youngsters that were oblivious as to what a niche or capable vehicle they were driving...

I have had a local guy flash lights that has a lifted TE and is here on the forums.
anyway, I would only consider waiving or waive back if it were someone in a modded T4R or maybe if I thought they knew what they were looking at!
