BF Goodrich total terrain ko 2 sadness.

I think I may have made a mistake... I went and bought the ko's 2 and I am somewhat dissapointed. The ride is great better than duratracs but. But they SEEM smaller.

I had duratracs 285/70r17 and went with the same thing with the BF goodrich and when I look at my truck I dont like how it stands

I need to get bashed or consolated ... fml fml fml

Always went with the modo bigger is better and now I feel.like I went from bigger to less bigger.

If I rolled less than 60miles can I get a refund or something or stfu and get used to them ?

I just went out with the measuring tape and they are half an inch smaller on width.

With so little miles you can sell them and get what you want but you'll lose a little money. I think you're the only person I've ever seen not happy with the stance of the ko2's.

LoL to be honest they look better in the showroom than on my truck. Maybe I just need to get used to them. Had the Duratracs for 2 years + that must be it. And for the price I paid I should not complain hehe. Also the ride is quite nice alot less noise on the road...

FWIW, I bought 255/75/17 Duratracs from discount tire and put approximately 3000 on them before trading them in for KO2s. They gave me $100 each for the Duratracs which I paid $169 for. They also transferred my replacement certificates over to the KO2s. Thats approximately 60% trade in value on a rather odd size tire. I would think that a much more common size tire, in the KO2, with only 60 miles on it, should fetch a decent buy back depending on the dealer.

They are smaller, BFG sucks and EVERY TIRE THEY MAKE IS SMALLER THAN ITS SUPPOSED TO BE.

take a look at my 37x12.50 KM2s. They actually measure about 34.5 mounted.

To be fair, they do publish their numbers right on their website, but it does seem like their mounted size is smaller still that those numbers. I put some of their 34/10.5R17 KO2s on and I'm only getting a shade past 33 inches. They state 33.5 on their website spec sheet. Still they're better, size and tread wise than the stock Bridgestones that came with it. And the width is right at where my stock wheels were at.

Of course I just put duratracs on, if the sidewall is as strong as Silent Armors I'll be fine. Plus I drive in snow more than most of you...

diameter. the width varies between MFG and tire type only due to sidewalltread. I think a lot of people forget an MT is obviously going to appear wider than an AT

everytime i've pulled up numbers for duratracs they were 32.8 not 33's so if your ko2 number is right then they should only be .1" difference in height

Both diameter and width can vary considerably between two tires of the same "size." It's actually possible to get a smaller tire to be physically bigger than a larger tire. Think about that. Only in the tire world can smaller be larger.
