May not be the best thing, but if it drained the battery after a couple of weeks I feel like there are bigger issues. Im looking at batteries now, definitely need to upgrade.

I read a post somewhere about running the volt meter in the connector off a switched hot. To me, it's useless under the hood anyway but it does look cool.

That looks prettier than my hand made job! But then again, I do not claim to be an electrician, just a hack-job one at best.
Install is super easy though, remove wires, place wires, done. I spent more time double-checking my wire routing then actually routing it. Gives peace of mind and more capacity to adding more goodies like lighting, a thumping subwoofer, winches, etc.

To be honest, I never would have done this on my own. Its part of the kit and interesting enough to be able to easily check what you're running. I wouldn't say its useless under the hood, since all you have to do is pop the hood if you want to check it out. I hear what you're saying though.

[MENTION=99491]Bumper2Bumper Auto[/MENTION] was the guy. Great product but he got ripped for lead times. He was a one man operation doing it as a side job while he worked full time. Doubt if he still does. I bought 2 have had them both on for 3 years and no issue at all

If you guys have the time everything that comes in the kit is available to buy. I remember finding the battery clamps on Amazon. And I can find welding wire(which is just a more flexible ground wire) at a lot of places. Get some wire loom, heat shrink, and heavy duty copper lugs and you can make your own. I made my own cables for my 87 wrangler and my dads 83 CJ7. It was a little easier because there’s a lot more room. Took me maybe half a day with beer to make the jeep stuff. Also it took me about 2 hours to install the Toyota kit I bought and that was with a beer break

After not hearing back from him for weeks, I ended up just buying everything online and doing everything myself. I followed a write-up from somewhere, I forgot but an easy search should find it. I already had a small propane torch, install was alot easier than expected. Good luck
