Nice build. How bad was all the fluids when you changed them? I just picked up an 05 and judging by filter's I've replaced there was no maintenance done on it. Really hoping the spark plugs come out after 115k.

All the fluids came out exceptionally clean and I have no idea how, since im pretty sure they were all original other then oil obviously. spark plugs will come right out, easy job and worth it.

Much needed brake upgrade.

5th gen front brake calipers and rotors along with some stainless braided lines. Much smoother and noticeable increase in braking power. Nice upgrade.

Ive been working at Riverhead Toyota now for a few months and haven't had the time to really do much to the truck.
However (knock on wood) Ive been driving about 60 miles a day and its been running great. with 124,500k miles im AVG 17mpg to tank based on math@ avg of 70mph... with current mods.

However Big things are in the works. Suspension upgrade has been ordered and should be there this week!

Just to keep myself busy, I installed a set of Rigid industries Yellow D2 light covers.

BIG things happening soon! Thanks for all the knowledgeable people on this forum and inspirational builds that have helped get me this far. stay tuned.

Part 1 of suspension upgrade has arrived.

JBA Balljoint upper control arms. I plan to paint them silver before installing. Looks and feels like a quality part. Also very well packaged.

Went up to CT to visit a fellow forum member yesturday and do the complete suspension overhaul! Also took it for a quick trail run to test it out.

Xreas and daystar are gone along with front swaybar and I cannot express how much better it is in every way and I haven't even driven it with an alignment yet.

Upfront..
Radflo 2.5 ext travel coil overs with adjustable remote resi's and 700lb coils
JBA ball joint upper control arms painted silver.
Front sway bar removed.

Out back..
Radflo 2.5 extended travel shocks with 5th gen radflo 2.0 rear coils and 1.5 spacers.
Skyjacker extended rear sway bar links

Nice build. Looked it after your post in the 4th gen thread.

Are the fronts as high as they go to level it with the rear? With the spacer is it rough in the rear or still comfortable?

no the fronts are only about half way.. maybe a hair past half way.. very comfortable ride. not harsh at all IMO. without any extra weight in the back its slightly stiff, with about 200lbs of gear/tools ect.. it rides better then a brand new 4runner.

Question, according to Radflo install manual, you should not have more then 1" of threads showing on top. I was still only at about 36.5" with that. I called Radflo and they said that was old info and you can go to 1.5" of thread with the new design. Even at that I am only around 37.25", just about level with rear.

Did you talk to Radflo about adjusting them as far as you did and what issues it may cause?

Ahhh. Ok, yes that helps. About where I have mine set. You must be slightly higher because of your 700lb springs. I have 650.

Yeah, I have the v8 too though.. Either way, I feel like it rides excellent and handles great.. even with the front swaybar gone. It took about a week to get used to but I think its less roll then it was before when it was attached.

Also awaiting warmer weather for install... serp belt, new laser iridium plugs, oil ,rear diff, transfer case and front diff fluid change.

How do you like the JBA UCA's? You'll have to post up alignment specs when you get one. I'm considering those UCA's myself.
