Bilstein 5100's & Cornfed spacers arrived

Well to be honest I have OCD like crazy and I do not care for the rear of the 4Runner to be up. I like the front just slightly higher I have bilstein at 2.5 and the rear cornfed 1.5 spacer and the rear is for sure higher I will be removing them soon and putting a 1" in there instead. I'm running 285 the first picture is when I just lifted it and the next it with wheels and tires it also depends on the camera angle

Blue15, did you ever get to install your kit?

For you guys who did this with KDSS, how much extra work was it?

I did, Toyota specialist of Bothell, Wa install. They did a great job never any problem with install or post install. Been about a year now I think.

Will you be posting photos? I'am curious about the results. I too am looking at getting Bilstein 5100 set @ 1.75" with 1" cornfed spacers in the rear. I want it to sit level and not have rake. I am new to this forum and truck, and so any help, helps...

Thank you for the response! Truck looks great!!! Do you have any issues with rubbing on road and off?

Prior to getting an alignment after the lift, I didn't have any rubbing. Once I got an alignment on stock UCAs, I was able to get around 2.5 - 2.9 caster. This caused me to rub when full locked (mostly in reverse). I solved it by pushing the fender liner forward as suggested on this forum, and also using a utility knife to trim the bumper slightly. Now I don't rub at all on the road. Haven't done any serious off roading, so I can't comment on that.

the rear in that photo (red 4runner- if that is what you are referring to) had the 1" cornfed spacers, and the top spacers contemplated were for the fronts in addition to/with the 5100's set at 1.75" (rather than setting them at 2.5").

as a side note - I did end up adding the wheelers 3/8 inch top spacer for the front, and left the front 5100's set at 1.75", and also used 1 1/4" rear cornfed spacer on the driver side and 1" rear on the passenger. I was anticipating about 3/4" additional lift in front with the top spacer (twice the 3/8" top spacer width), but got almost an inch - glad it did - lifted the front to my liking, no change in ride, etc. Still have about 1/2" of rake measured from ground to wheel well. The rear could still be another 1/2" higher for a future change- personal preference though

So I'm new to lifts/mods and am looking into this set up. Are the rear 5100s height adjustable. if so, set to what? When installing the 5100s, can the stock coils be used or do they have to be swapped out as well? if so, what size?

The fronts are adjustable by moving the included "ring" into different positions. You can adjust the fronts from stock height, 0.85", 1.75", and 2.5" using stock springs. Alternatively, you can set the fronts to no lift and use taller aftermarket springs. The rears are not adjustable and will require aftermarket springs or spacers to achieve lifting the rear.

A buddy of mine said he'd give me a pair of Sway-A-Way 1.5" lift rear coils. Using 5100s all around, what should i set the front at to get close to level? I like a little rake but stock is little too much lol

Just now coming across this slightly old tread and wanted to ask a question. Looking at most of the pics it seems like this set up(1.75 shocks on front and 1" rear spacer) does not level the truck out. To me it still seems like its higher in the rear.

Would going with the shocks set at 1.75 and no spacer level the truck out? I just want mine to set level.

Mine had 2" of rake stock. When I brought the front up, the back did lower a little but it might not respond that way for all vehicles. A little rake is good imo. Add some fuel and cargo to a leveled rig and it'll look like your rear end is sagging

I was thinking of buying those as well. If i buy the bilstein 5100 do I need the front and rear cornfed spacers or just the rear?

i am running this setup as well. i would say there is a little more than 1" of fender gap difference front to rear. i think i have more around 1.5" difference. yes it's to accommodate loading, but also personal preference. aesthetically i like the look, also "level" fender gaps usually makes the frame/rockers look negatively raked.

before and after from day -2 to day 180-ish?

What size tires do you have here? 275 or 265? Looks good!!
