Doesn't appear anybody has responded. I haven't taken apart the light assembly, but assume it's a *****. You can do it...but expect a lil work. The general problem is it's really difficult to get a good paint for the inside of the assembly. I'm sure paint guys are aware....I'm not.
If that "chrome" bothers you....I'd tape around it (where you have the highlight above) and slap it with a few coats of Nite Shades. Not a good idea to do the entire light for legal reason (or whatever you choose), yet I'm sure you could get a nice clean look with proper masking and Nite Shades.
