Hi guys,

I just bought a 2000 4runner SR5 4wd and am excited. I have a ome 3 inch lift on the way and just looked around and saw that the body mount bushing are completely warn down and 4 of them just missing but the bolts still there. Anyone know what size bushing should be where and the best to buy. I want to stick with rubber due to the things I have heard about polyurethane. Please helps out. Thanks a lot.

Wow I have never heard of anything like that. I would start at the dealer or a local place the can get OEM parts and then look into aftermarket after getting OEM prices as a base line. Sorry I can't give an specific advice.

Yes the ones in the middle are missing and the fwd ones aren't bad and rear aren't bad but the middle are missing. I am on a island in alaska so no dealer help here a few local hobby shops. I am trying to find something I can order. Let me know if anyone has ideas!

I purchased a complete poly kit from 4Crawlers website.

Worked out great actually. We installed them together with a 1" BL. Details to that thread can be found in the documentation thread.

Its about $200 for the kit but he does a great job with instructions . Worked out well for me although I was afraid it would be too stiff. Its fine though.

As I understand it the OEM cost like $1000 for a complete set. And you would want to do them all together.

Yea thanks man. That is exactly like how mine look. So thats normal huh? Crazy. Well thanks for the help. I was going to replace them when I got my lift in but no need. With that info they look fine. Bring on the ome 3 inch lift. Thanks all for the help.

Did these help with performance on washboard roads, as you had hoped?

I only got the 4runner a few months ago and have been working away at my list of items needed to be done. Thanks so much for all your input. I will readdress the bushings at another time. Not as serious as I thought. Thanks again. Can someone point me in the direction of someone that has a thread of lifts. I am installing a 3 inch lift and wanted to know if I needed to get new control arms or anything i haven't thought of.

Yes. It shudders a bit less for sure. I also got new OEM inner, outer tie rods and I'm sure that contributed.

I find it hard to believe that it shudders less with poly mounts since they are a stiffer compound. The only way I could see this working is iff the when you had oem bushings the washboards caused the body to move and resonance caused it to move more. If that were the case poly bushings would hold the body in place because they have a higher k value and therefore will not resonate as easily.
