Blunt force trauma.

Damn man that sucks. How many miles are on the motor now?
That stinks. Good luck on the rebuild.
I was thinking maybe it's also just because being a mountain truck it's just had a harder life than most middle-class, teenage, white 4runners.![]()
Glad to hear to got her back.
Congrats Brian, good luck with the new engine
The heart transplant was a success!!!! And you got her some new lungs too so she can breath better! Congrats on the new engine man, and I have to say I'd rather them take longer than expected than rush through it. Here's to the next 200K miles being more fun than the first 200k!
congrats on getting her back man!
but I've driven a CR-V in the snow and those little things are beast!
BTW, my gas mileage is still looking pretty bad, it seemed like the needle was going down pretty fast on the way home. I'm thinking/hoping that the ECU is just used to compensating for the engine running so badly and it'll just take a while for it to re-learn everything with a new, great running motor. Any thoughts?
Shouldn't the ECU have reset? I would imagine they'd disconnect the battery while they did the rebuild?
I'd pop off the battery terminal to reset the computer (which I'm sure the guy doing the engine did), but it couldn't hurt.
Also give it a few tanks and take an average...I bounce between a difference of .5mpg to 3mpg depending on conditions
