He did e-mail today and said "the TE prototype front goes out for fitment tomorrow" The rest of the pieces I believe are the same for all 5th Gens.

Does the frt skid plate come with the filler plate, and do you have to remove it to change the oil?

I dont know if this was addressed since I didnt read through all the pages, but I know some people put the Fumoto valve on. It has a nipple/tube out to make draining easy. you just reach in and turn the valve. heres a link

Just did my first oil change yesterday since I installed full BB under armor. I removed the second skid in order to wrench on the Fumoto 103. Subsequent oil changes will be a breeze. Plenty of room to crawl around with a lift and the only thing that needs to be removed is Bud's small filter hatch held by 3 allen screws. Incredibly thought out set of plates by Bud and his team.

Has anyone with a full set of skids had any issues bringing the truck in to the dealership for work? Extra labour charges or anything similar on oil changes or other work? I'm looking at ordering a set soon and don't want any surprises. As a condo dweller I don't have a space to do the maintenance myself...

If I bring my truck for factory service, I will remove any plates myself ahead of time. Really it is easy to do after they are correctly installed. For an oil change, I would just remove the front hatch yourself (so the 16 year old monkey does not lose or strip an allen screw). Installing a Fumoto at the pan drain means the second skid does not have to be removed. Still, I would show them the valve and watch to make sure they follow your instructions.
Having had the mid skid absorb a big impact when I slipped on a wet rock a week ago, I'm fully on board with Bud's products. They're awesome.

What do you think about the 4R 'Front Skid Plate' on yours?
I am thinking I want to remove the black plastic trim under the front so I can access the 'tow hooks' a little easier but I would like a little added protections if I am going to be doing that. I figured this plate would do the job! Your thoughts? Thanks!

The middle piece is bolted to the frame,not the body and the front skid plate butts up to it. It has a tab that sticks out the back that goes under the middle one with a special flush screw that takes a 5mm allen wrench or socket. It helps to hold it in place while you install the other forward bolts. Use generous amounts of anti-seize when installing ,as always ,on bolts and nuts under the truck.Makes life simpler down the road if you want to take them off.
As far as it tying in a shrockworks bumper,I'm sure a special filler plate will have to be fabbed ,like the one I made for mine. Any sheet metal shop could do it as it's basic sheet metal 101 type work.
I love mine.......for rocks! Telltale rock gouges and scrapes all over them means they are doing their job. I have a deep gouge and it is actually bent on the BB gas tank skid that probably would have ripped my gas tank open with the stock ones.More then paid for themselves right there IMO!
It's been awhile since I've seen the black plastic trim of the Limited/SR5 but I believe there will be a gap if you take them off. The BB front skid basically replaces the thin oem one.

Is there any kind of coating on the bare metal skid plates, or will they eventually rust. I see they offer powder coating, just wondering if the powdercoating is needed.

Thanks for the response! I think it will look nice as well as be functional (obviously). Plus I love how he has added the access to get to the oil too, perfect. Guess he will have an order soon!

I sent him a message but have not heard back yet, what is required for the install - as in removal? Does the whole front have to come off or is it just a simple bolt on (after removing the factory black plastic pieces)?
