Buh Bye 4Runner

I found myself in a similar position when I bought my T4R. I had a 2010 Tundra reg. cab TRD with the 5.7, navigation, bucket seats, and everything else you can get on a reg. cab. I only put 4000 miles on it before it had to go. 10mpg, 2 seats, 8 feet wide, and no place to put the dogs in a/c on the hot TX summer days. I got slammed pretty hard on the trade-in value (reg. cabs not in demand), but I love my 4 Runner, so it was worth it for me. Good luck with the Tacoma!

I disagree about the 5th gens having weak acceleration responsiveness. True, the 4R may show slight sluggishness off the line, but beyond that it seems to do just fine. In my opinion, this issue is perceived due to the mechanical force required to compress the gas pedal. In other words, u got u sum week ankyls.
