Bushwacker made fenders for the 5th gen!!

The more I look at the pics posted by the guys that are actually there(thank you to everyone sharing) the more it starts to look like the body cladding on the 4th gen's which I really hated about my 2006.....starting to second guess these as the hours go by

Fender flares are for covering wider wheels to keep them street legal, not just for looks. Black fender show scratches less for those that actually offroad. They are the widest points and end up taking more damage

Looks pretty damn good to me, just color the bolts black. Heck, I'm even starting to like that fugly front end.

I like them, but wish they were a few mm wider. I also like that they're black plastic as I plan on abusing them. Here in the mid-atlantic there's nothing but tight turns around trees, off-camber turns around trees, oh, and wet turns around trees. That is why I got the bump out sliders (which saved my truck the first time I went after installing them). These would get scraped up in no time on my truck (or does that mean I'm a bad driver:driving:??) I'd also paint the bolts black...agree that's too much bling for my taste.
I wonder what the price comparison would be for the company to color match them versus taking them to a paint shop to color match them - for those that desire that option.

This is awesome. They don't look epic, fantastic, or anything like that, but they do look functional. I've never been a fan of the color matched fenders, and I'd contemplated plasti dipping my TEP's, but I'd much rather pick these up, protect the fenders themselves, and have a black, removable flare. Those bolts definitely need to be offered in black though, good lord!
these dont appear to really add much width over stock... look to be designed more for appearnce than function

From what I've read on Bushwacker flares is that they're removable but they usually rub the paint off where they sit on the fender. So in turn they cause more damage then good. I was looking at them when I had my FJ but decided against them after what I read about them.

I wonder if you could put something between the actual fender and the flare to keep that from happening. like some clearbra type material or something. Idk, just shooting blanks here. I'm 4000 miles away and have no way of actually seeing my truck for the next few months, but when I get home I'm sure I'll play around with something and see if it seems feasable. One thing of concern with Bushwacker has always been price. They run an average of $500 for a set of flares. Idk if that's worth it for me or not yet
