That's the only thing I'm concerned about. I have a 1.5" body lift and that made the short tube headers rub the steering column so hopefully these long tubes eliminate that issue or at least not make it worse.

But pretty much ready to order other than that.

I’d like to know this as well! Why would you replace the URD stuff?

I may pick up the Y pipe at some point depending on price just to replace my stock, restrictive one. Not sure if the gain is actually enough to justify the cost and effort to install though. I just wish it had been available when I did the rest of the system.:yell:

If you can get the URD Y pipe used it is absolutely worth the cost! The URD Y pipe bolts up pretty quick. Make sure to get the four nuts that join the exhaust manifold collector pipe to the OEM y pipe from Toyota. These are one time use lock nuts. Spray PB blaster on the exhaust manifold bolts that connect to the OEM y pipe.

The only issue I encountered was during removal of the OEM Y pipe. There is a useless brace that serves no purpose whatsoever on the driver side that makes removal of the driver side section of the Y pipe a pain to remove. Just spray some PB blaster on the two bolts of this thin metal brace and remove it. After that you’re done in about 5 minutes.

Any chance someone grabbing the Long tubes and y-pipe will be running the Magnaflow 15781 cat-back kit behind it? Interested in how the y-pipe resonators will affect the tone of that system. Ducman had the Magnaflow system on his truck but ended up having to install a Vibrant 2.5" resonator to go in the mid-pipe to get rid of some harsh drone.

Now that I'm thinking about it... [MENTION=9]Jason B[/MENTION], something that could really differentiate you would be to make recordings of a truck with the long tubes (or shorties) and y-pipe installed with different cat-back systems so customers can buy a complete bolt-on system from you and have a better idea of what they can expect once they're installed on their trucks.

But I recommend the GIBSON exhaust out of them all. Why? It's got a super deep tone, and no drone inside! Just about everyone that's orders headers and up getting this and loves it. All mandrel bent larger tubing and a great price as I never updated it yet!

Because I was one of the people that called and asked / committed to buy a set of long tubes without cats. DT didn’t have to support such a small market, but since they did I felt obliged to also buy their y pipe to help support them.

I also like the fact that the crossover is no longer right by the transmission pan but now behind the cross member...I don’t know if it’ll make a difference in the amount of heat transferred to the fluid...if any at all, but still.

There’s nothing wrong with the urd pipe either, though. It’s a really nice piece too!

I have to figure out which urd y pipe it is.

Since they don’t make one for the 03-04 I had to modify my old factory setup to match.

I think the one I have is for 05+ but I need to verify before I sell it.
