Hopefully just temporary. There was a nasty bug discovered this week in OpenSSL, which is the technology most websites use to keep the communication between them and your computer secure. So it's possible they took down the website until they can fix it. It would suck if they stopped doing online parts.

I heard about that same vulnerability. I guess it's impacting a huge amount of sites as Apache web servers use openSSL.

If you visit their main page though, the whole site was re-designed, so I was just putting 2 and 2 together.

OpenSSL did release a fix, so if that is the reason for being down, it should be back up soon enough.

ive also printed out my order form with the prices from camelback and brought it to my local dealership and they price matched it, usually get special order parts the next day.

I've never used Camelback, but in the past(mid-2000's) used 1stToyotaParts.com(WA state dealer) and more recently TPZ. TPZ is here in my area(L.A.), so normal UPS shipping gets here in one day. However, in the last couple of years, TPZ often have been charging rather a lot for shipping---like $20 to ship a $40 part that weighs less than a pound.
I'll investigate Camelback for cheaper shipping.

Brian, I have come to the same conclusion about the local dealers charging above list price. There may be no actual MSRP on Toyota Parts, since the EPC computers in different dealers show different prices. They just program in the percentage above cost that they want to call "the list price".

Another vote for Camelback, the free shipping is hard to beat. I spent a lot of $$ there and never had an issue.

On one of my orders I was just a few bucks shy of the minimum to get the free shipping so I just ordered oil filters to fill the gap. Something to think about.

I haven't used camelback, but a while back when I was buying my lbjs and rear shocks I googled the local Toyota dealers to see if they had online parts departments. I found that Toyota of San Bernardino had one and the parts were pretty close in price to camelback (ie lbj was $91 @ tsb to $86 @ camelback). I had to pay tax but I could pick it up when it was ready instead of having it shipped.

Does TPZ have a local pickup option? Are they charging you the local sales tax?

TPZ will not allow local p/u, except once I convinced them to let me p/u a complete catback exhaust because the cost of shipping the exhaust was so high.

I've used TPZ and Camelback. I prefer Camelback because their site is a little easier to navigate. For the most part the price to my door was the same. When ordering some OTE from Camelback they showed two different part numbers for my vehicle. I gave them a call just to clarify and got the regular dealer run around.

Phone rang for ever, was immediately placed on hold and when someone did get to me they couldn't answer the question. I was told to put my VIN in the special request box and they'd double check before shipping (yeah right). Anyways, I got the correct part within a few days and was on my way.
