Can't decide on wheels, how did y'all do it

I hear all voices about the faux bead lock. I don't really love that, but almost every single truck wheel had that.

I thought about the trdpro wheels, but I didn't want it to be a copy cat of a real pro. I think that's like those 3 series guys putting m3 stuff on, but it still didn't make it a m3 haha.

I knew what I wanted (TRD Wheels), purchased them at my local dealership and sold the OEM wheels. Out of pocket about 400 to upgrade wheels.

I went with FN fx Pro. Good luck getting the Ray 10s if you do decide to get them. There is a looooooooong waiting list.

I saw the grids, but I can tell the difference beside bolts and center caps. What was the difference you noticed?

I cant tell the diff either. Although my "grid's" are "titanium" grey, which I prefer to the all to common black.

As for hub vs. lug; OEM are hub-centric on this truck. But, I believe that lug-centric are a lot more common and you will not have any issue running them.

My vote is for the SCS hub centric rims! Don't lose anymore sleep over it! They look awesome and you can move on to thinking about your next mod!!!

Wait a minute... you're talking about guys copying TRD Pros by putting TRD Pro wheels on them, yet both wheels you picture have fake beadlocks?

Yeah but it's hard to find wheels that don't have those bolt heads. I'm not a fan of them looking like wanna be beadlocks, but the wheels I've seen that didn't have the bolts looks gawdy.

Sell these are the ones I was referring to, I see allot of these type wheels in my area and they just don't look good to me. So yes, even though they are fake locks, they still look better than these.

OK, you're looking to buy wheels from Discount Tire. That's like going to Wal Mart to buy a bicycle and limiting yourself to that selection.

Most wheels in the USA are made by just a few different companies, but sell under a variety of names. MHT Alloys is one of the largest.

I see an astronomical number of Jeep Wranglers every day. It seems like every parking lot I drive through has at least one or two, and I can't even count the number I see on my 12 mile commute to work. Aside from a select few, it looks like each owner bought the Jeep, went to 4 Wheel Parts, picked some cheap shit off the shelves to bolt on, including wheels/tires, all in an effort to make theirs stand out. The funny thing about it, I see far fewer stock Wranglers these days than modded. Wranglers are like the Honda Civic in the early 2000's. It just isn't cool to drive a stock one, so you better bolt some stuff on it, no matter the look or quality.

And my point to that? MANY of the wheels I see on those Jeeps look like MANY of the wheels you've posted in this thread. They buy them because they're available, cheap, and easy.

I realize you're doing your research on wheels, which is awesome, I just find it hard to imagine that after all your research, the wheels you just posted are what you came up with.

I had the same issue on deciding which wheels. I went with the SCS Ray 10's matte black. Look amazing to me (at least). It is worth the wait. Plan on having them installed this weekend.

Personally for me black wheels were no longer an option. Living in Vegas they are EVERYWHERE. Used to be Wrangers and full size trucks. Now it's Range Rovers, BMW, Porsche, Jeep, Hondas, just about everywhere. Many of them are offered as OE now but many more have been replaced by the owners.

So far I'm still OE with 285s and spacers. If I was to change and it's on the back of my mind I would go with these...
