car shakes while in gear at a stop (auto tranny)

Hi,
I have a 4 cylinder 96 4Runner with automatic tranny. When at a stop and in Drive, 1st or 2nd gear the truck shakes. When I put the truck into neutral or park the shaking, vibrating stops. Any ideas what the problem could be? Bye the way, the car does not shake or vibrate when moving in gear, only at a stop.

Check your engine mounts. They may be worn out.

im not sure how the toyota xmsn works..but when i was a gm guy we had had alot of vehicles come in w/ those symptoms and replaced alot of torque converter clutch soloniods on the 700r,125 and 440ts..you could also check your flywheel and mount bolts to your torque converter..
there dosent seem to be alot of information on this forum about mechanical stuff...just alot of talk about tires , exhaust and little detail work...i posed a question about some top end work a while back and nobody had any answers for me..
