Looking good! I am in the process of taking the tank out now for rerunning the ebrake cable. Was it difficult? any quick tips?

It's just turning wrenches, there's no surprises. I'd wear clothes you don't mind throwing away afterwards though, because you're going to stink of gas.

Penetrating oil on the top fuel line.. I sprayed it multiple times and let it soak in and I still pulled a muscle trying to break mine free haha

That looks like all of it, except if you're going to ever do a ubolt flip in back, now is the time. That'll mean different ubolts and shock lengths, is why I mention it.

This weekend I got the frame painted up to the front cross-member. It doesn't look amazing but it's good enough for now. I mostly did it to by me some time from the rust until I can take the frame in to be sandblasted and powder-coated.
I cleaned the tank as best as I could and undercoated the tank cover. I got it back in place today.
My Uniden 520xl finally got here so I installed that as well as wired the coax cable to the rear passenger side. When I get my bumper done I'll have the antenna mounted to it. I was originally planning on mounting the CB in place of the ashtray, but I decided I use the ashtray and I don't use the pocket under the deck at all so I went with that.
While I had the dash out I put some amber bulbs in gauge cluster. I think I like the look so I'll need to get some for the climate control and clinometer.
Also I finally got a picture of my rear speaker placement.

I don't have much to do because I'm waiting on shocks and springs this November, but today I wire wheeled my shock/U-bolt mounts and undercoated them. The look brand new!

I can't believe how much those rusted through! It was pretty damn thick metal too. But yeah the rear bumper build is going slow, but I'm not in much of a hurry. I think I'm going to buy me the new addictedoffroad plate bumper for the front. I was going to build the front too, but I don't want to have to mess winch mounts and everything. Plus it is the exact look I was going to try for.

I don't. I wouldn't use a kit though, the Trailgear setup is designed for flex while crawling but kills your lateral stability. If you're sticking with the go-fast build, you're gonna want to come up through the bed.

Have you looked at Dirty's build? That's what you want to do. Either pick the travel you want and build your hoops accordingly, or put your hoops where you want them and measure your travel.

Yeah Dirty's is crazy. I think it would be bad ass to do that, but according to this http://www.desertrides.com/reference/racing_classes.php I have to stay close to the stock shock mounting locations to qualify for racing. I really need to do more research on it but I want to have my rear end done by the end of this month. I need to decide and get my parts ordered!

I was reading about u bolt flip kits on 4crawler and he had problems with them warping so he modified them to be stronger for crawling. So I should probably just keep the stock mounts and get new u bolts then huh? I'd love to get some bypasses but I don't think I could stretch my budget that much.

I painted my axle this past weekend. It was pretty dark by the time I threw on the last coat so I'll have to get a better picture later.
