Castrol 5W30 Syn Blend for $1 @ Autozone

Just did 2 separate orders of 50 each, didn't get the gift card but avoided the $100 freight charge. Thanks for the find!
Yes. Mobil 1 is Synthetic only.
Mobil's oil formulations that aren't synthetic, are branded "Mobil Super", "Mobil 5000", etc.
Anyway, what I found was a particular AutoZone store had a clearance sale going on, but were sold out. So I went to another store, and found that they weren't having a clearance sale, but asked if they would honor the price at the other store. They stated that clearance sales were sometimes determined by individual Store Managers, and were relevant to that store only. After they called to confirm the price at the other store, they did agree to honor the clearance price.
So quarts that were marked at $9.79, were sold for $1.00. I would've bought more, but that was all they had. And I didn't want to seem greedy.

just purchased 140 quarts!!! free shipping and took advantage of the 25$ gift card too!! worked great!!! not worried if it will work, I'm sure now they will have to honor the price after its paid for!! wish the mobile 1 synthetic would have beed there but o well, I'm happy with this!! thanks for the info on this deal!!!

why did you do that? on their site for today only was free shipping on all orders of 75$ or more and 25$ gift card for 100$ or more.

haha. ill make space for this for sure. i just told my friend and he just bought on 2 separate orders to get the 2 gift cards he purchased 220 quarts...lol.

It gave me free 2-day shipping on both orders of 50 quarts. With tax I payed $53.00 per order. I didn't get the $25 gift card but I saved $100 because I didn't have to pay for the freight shipping.

Just tried it (3:30 PM EST) and same here,both $1 Castrol and Kendallsynth blends are no longer available. I was about to place an order for my parents.
The pricing should be legit,a friend working part-time at Advanced Auto Parts said they were selling the Castrol synth blend for $2/quart because Castrol will be discontinuing it. That's not a bad sign it's a "bad" oil,considering it meets that newer GM Dexos requirement. My guess is whatever it originally retailed for,people would rather spend the extra few bucks for full synthetic or save a few bucks going with regular oil. Either way no buyers remorse from me.

Just got off the phone with local AutoZone,the guy I spoke to said they'll honor the price for whatever they have in stock. He said they have quite a bit in stock.
Off to AutoZone I go :rockon:

They had about a case of Kendall 10w-30 and 4qts 5w-30,no Castrol. The next closest store didn't have any 5w-30.

I just tried paying with PayPal and it came up with a error.
