Concerning 10w-30 in Maine, you would probably be OK. I use 10w-30 in DC and NC and it does fine.

If I had bought 220 qts of oil, I'd turn around and sell half of them on Craigslist for $2 if not $3 a quart, thus giving me free oil in the end. Otherwise I'd be issued my AARP card before running out.

I was thinking the same thing. Even my 40 quarts, will last for awhile.

I went by 3 AutoZones this evening in order to pick up as much as I could find, but came home empty handed. I found two cases of 5w-30 sitting behind the shelf, but the manager informed me that he was saving both cases for himself and he refused to sell them to me. Seemed a bit unethical.


Anyway, the manager told me that it's not a misprint or mistake, rather that they are discontinuing that line of oil and are liquidating their stock. Upon getting the call to drop the price, he said that his employees wiped out their supply. No bueno for me....

I stopped by my local store and they had no deals worth taking up. The Castrol blend was on sale at 3.99. Not worth it.

You need to order it online for in store pick-up to get the 1qt/$1 deal.

I asked my store to price match and they said they do. When I showed him it was $1 he said no way he could go that low. Not sure if he was trying to keep them for himself or didn't think he could do it. I ordered 30 online shipping and 11 for in store pick up. We'll see if they have my 11 tomorrow.

When I lived on a 4th story top floor condo without an elevator for a year, the UPS guy would leave all the heavy packages (more than 50 lbs) with the condo's office manager. :tsk:

Do you have enough room for 100 quarts? Should make for some interesting conversational banter when friends drop by. My brother begins to roll his eyes when he sees more than 20 quarts of oil in my garage.

I just got 40quarts from a local store. Still they got few more. Whats interesting is the worker did not know about it until he scan the quarts. I got 10w30 and 10w40,20 quarts each.
