You wouldn't be the only 3rd gen on the trip, Gerd, you're absolutely welcome to join us. We've got a mix of skill levels, so most of the trails will be SevenMile Rim-type stuff that the stockish trucks can navigate (with some "scenic" stuff mixed in), and then we're thinking maybe take Saturday and split up so those that want can find something more challenging - I'd like to see Kane Creek or Strike Ravine, but we'll see.
Yes, I forgot to mention that, sorry. The site was already reserved for Sunday night, so we don't have to go home but we can't stay there. Saturday night will be our last night at the Moab Rim group camp site.

I haven't been on it. I have 33s and a locker and I'm game for it though.

If I have learned nothing else about rock crawling, I have learned this: It is all about the lines and the traction. The RIGHT tires and a locker will get you anywhere.

The plan is to run Sevenmile Rim on Thursday. That will give us a good idea of where everyone is at as far as comfort level and we can plan additional trails after that. We'll mostly be using the Charles Wells book as a gauge for trail difficulty.

Most of Kane Creek is doable without a locker. Of course, where lockers are recommended, there is a cliff just to your left so there's obviously no bypass to the rock ledges. A Toyota with 33's and at least 1 locker should be OK. 33's and no locker, we can probably manage. Street tires and no lockers...well that's just :der:

Yeeahuh! Since I can't get there until Friday afternoon, so will be wheelin' only saturday (maaybe sunday.. depends if my parents want to babysit that long LoL) I want to see what my truck can do.. and can't do!
I looked Kane Creek up on youtube and it looks AWESOME! A mix of everything in 13ish miles

WJ, right? My bro-in-law followed me through Hell's Revenge (I was in the Tundra...we got lots of funny looks from the hardcore crowd) with a very similar setup. He scrapped his belly a few times and almost hit the rockers a few more times but his excellent driving skills saved him. Look on KSL for some Rubicon KM1 take offs - that's what he did and loves them.
It will take some careful driving but you should be fine.
