I was looking for something else, something like hardware and an app that annoys the shit out of me if the garage door is open after a certain time.

What I was not sure of, is it like a bunch of those smart home things that you HAVE to sign up to use it, or can you keep it all local to your house. I would think with Bluetooth it would be easier to keep it all local.

That would require me digging my phone out of my pocket, put in the pin and then hit the app. Not really a simple solution and doesn't do anything for the other opener I need to have. The 2nd opener is a community and so not 'programable'.

Keychain size micro opener with multiple buttons, 3M VHB adhesive holding it up. I've since removed the label and just dabbed a small dot of yellow paint onto the one button that I don't have programmed.

On my 4th gen, I was able to buy the overhead console with homelink for $65 or so (I think). It was plug and play.

Good question but not me, I already know the way home and I only have had my T4R a few days.

Good safety tip though. For those states that don't print addresses on registrations. That kind of defeats the purpose.
