"Clunking" noise from rear after lift install

If you have an issue with a shop you bring it to them. We are all human and make mistakes. You give them an opportunity to fix the issue. How do they know he had the issue when he had it fixed. They wont give him any money back.

It all depends on the level of the mistake IMHO. To me, that's something that the shop and I would be having a serious discussion about a refund on the shop labor or something to the effect. When you charge people for services, your QC had better be up to par.

So I have a clunking sound too, and it only comes out when I hit the bump. Now that you've mentioned you didn't have bushings at the top mount of the shocks, I am starting to think that's where the sound is coming from.

1) Will it do any damage if there aren't any bushings? My shocks didn't come with bushings (they are the Bilstein 5125, same as kammando808's in the video, also running Superflexes, if that matters)

Without the top bushing installed, there's room for the shaft to move in the mounting hole when the suspension cycles. So each time you hear that clunk, the shock is slamming against the upper hardware kind of like a slide hammer. I'm no expert, but I'd say that over time that's going to be detrimental to their longevity.

2) If I absolutely need to have bushings, where can I get them?

Autozone, as much as I hate them, has a pretty good selection of bushings and hats in store.

Sorry bud. I missed that you had 25's. Yours shouldn't require a tip bushing like the factory shocks or the 5100s do. Yours are double eye with an adapter, whet the others are eye and shaft.
