Cluster swap question

So I recently broke the manual trip odometer in my original cluster by pushing too hard. I bought an ebay one and swapped it in and so far everything works fine.

My only question is will the gas needle eventually find the correct level? The new cluster was reading full and my original cluster was reading about 1/2 of a tank. Will it find the correct position after some driving?

It will take a few minutes to adjust to the correct level. How long was your test?
