C'mon Toyota, no light in the cargo area??? Really??

you can still reach in and turn the lights on the hatch on.

You cant of you have alot of gear in there covering up the switches.

Last night was actually my first try at this. I loaded up the back in anticipation of an upcoming camping trip, than tried accessing stuff through the back window. Couldn't get to the switches due to the gear I had back there, and I had a heck of time trying to get to the headlamp I keep in the wheel well recess.

Sorry, but this is a pretty big fail. Chances are Ill end up trying to find a battery powered stick on LED to put somewhere back there.

Maybe you should get your eyes checked. This week I opened the tailgate to load some stuff - and there's plenty of light.

I agree with Ryan F... if this is all you have to complain about, you're in pretty good shape.

Agreed. This is my first Toyota product and I'm very pleased with the quality of the build. I looked at the 4Runner in the past, but held off buying one because I felt too cramped. The new design provided the extra space I needed for a comfortable ride. I too have a short list of "wonder why they didn't include this", but they all are trivial items and didn't come close to being a deal breaker.
