CO Front Range Meetup?

Maybe this isn't the right place for such a post, but I usually find the "regional" sections of any given forum to be weakly attended.

Anyway - How about some of us in the Denver/Boulder metro area connect and check-out the 5th Gen 4Runners? Of course anybody would be welcome from anywhere.

Nothing too organized, just a few of us meetup, have a beverage, and check out the rigs/ideas.

How about Bonefish Grill off 36 and 104th area (East of Flatirons)? There's a big parking lot and they likely have a decent bar in there. If there ends-up just a few of us, one of my favorite spots is Ernie's Bar on 44th but parking is trickier there if we want to line em up!

Thoughts?

I would like to but right now I don't even have enough time to change my mind. If another meet is scheduled in the spring I would be interested.

In! (weekend?)

104th and 36th would be tricky for me during the week. I work in the Tech Center...

Hwy 36 (Boulder Turnpike) of course...not 36th. But still, a haul from DTC.

We can certainly pick someplace convenient if others live more South. I am in the city of course, work in Boulder. Lincoln's Roadhouse off I-25 near Louisiana is also a good choice for something more South.

So maybe a Saturday or Sunday...especially with the dark hitting us early these days.

We can PM if others chime-in.

Sounds good but I am traveling for work right now. My spare time is pretty limited and it will be hard for me to plan anything soon.

Would love see and meet other 5th gems though so we'll see if the timing works out for what you guys come up with.

I would be down to meet up. I've got another week of busy season at work then I should have a lot of open time, weekdays and weekends.

Count me in! I'm in Arvada, so pretty much anywhere along Hwy 36 is convenient for me. Could also be persuaded to travel down south too.

Excellent! Maybe I'll go set up a quick Meetup group and we can use that to make it easier to plan.

Stay tuned and I'll get that figured out!

All set!

OK, I went out and setup a Meetup group so it's an easy way to set-up anything from a quick beer or cup of coffee to more major runs or trips.

I think if you just join the group, you can request a meetup and everyone will get an invite, etc.

Really hope this is cool to be sharing on the T4R site, but I don't really see why not.

Here ya go! Rocky Mountain 4Runners (Denver, CO) - Meetup

Have fun...

There is a half dozen or so of other 4Runners that get out on the trails together. If you dont mind I will link this thread over in the Offroading thread. That has been where we have been setting up some runs. I dont think there have been any 5th Gens in the group so they may not have seen this.

If this run is on for this Saturday I am interested in makin it.

Hey, that's great. I really set-up that Meetup group just for easy "one-stop" communication for anybody that may want to use it. I paid for 3 months to see if it is getting any use. I certainly don't want to duplicate efforts or circumvent something that's already working.

Like everyone these days, I am incredibly busy, but figure people can use it at will and recommend things. If you see any permissions that need to be adjusted, etc. Just let me know!

Has this kinda fizzled, or did I miss it?

Yeah, after trying to put together an impromptu thing, I went out and created that Meetup group. Of course, immediately after just setting-up the group business things have had me traveling and generally locked-down.

I may have been overly ambitious given the way my schedule has been but anyone can go request a Meetup of any kind on the Meetup group and off it goes.

Happy to make anyone an admin/manager access on the group.

My son just called and is on his way home from Airborne school, so I plan on hanging with him as much as possible through the holidays of course...
