I wouldn't accuse him of being the Speed dial queen that he is, but just tell him that some unfortunate soul has taken it upon themselves to call the police for absurd reasons. I'd explain to him your dilemma with parking, advise him of your plan to sell one, and clean up your driveway, and see how it goes.

For me, I've always found that communication is the best tool when dealing with people. MOST people are alright, and it could simply be a miscommunication, or mis-conception he has about you, which is causing him to be so ridiculous about this.

If all else fails, you could show up at his door on a dark stormy night, and knock him out! lol! However, I didn't suggest this last course of action to you.... !

I'll try it. There was a current issue at hand the first time around, though, so maybe it won't be as bad this time. Who knows with someone who still calls the police over something that happened a long time ago. Since the police never came to my door, it seems logical that they would have told him it was not me. I never heard any conclusions to the story.

Officer, I was only executing "fightman Plan B." I call it fightman Plan B because fightman80 :boxer: suggested that one. Why do you need his address???

Now that we've got that out of the way... those who own Shrockworks front bumpers find that their D-ring shackles have too much play on the 1/2" thick mounts. Two ballcock shank washers will straighten them out:

You'll also notice the turn signals have been installed. I promise to get a better camera someday, too.

As far as the noise goes, it's far quieter, but not gone.

It might just be me, but I dig the sounds they make haha. I find the noise only noticeable over bumps anyway. My main reason for installing them was to keep them from banging around and leaving red marks like they do on the back bumper.

A very thin walled rubber hose with the same diameter as the pin could be your fix. I had a friend do that on his Jeep with excellent results, tight squeeze. He preferred that they didn't even move.

Or you could attach velcro on both sides of each shackle and use another strip to run accross the shackle to pin it.

COB, the bumper looks just as nice on your rig as I expected it to. You are a patient man, though, that's for sure. I remember way back when you ordered that thing.

A front bumper has been a long time coming for you and it really completes the look of your rig.

BTW, I know you like to do things your own way, but I figured I'd post this here for you and 'Rip. I mounted my shackles using a nylon washer in combination with some metal washers. It keeps them rock solid, but allows them to move when needed if you give them a good tug.

I think since it was really so dark, that they showed up much brighter. I have some normal white 194 bulbs from work in there.

30 seconds, you got it. We didn't have a tripod with us, ended up just taking the sub box out and laying it on it's side, haha.
