Looking back I probably would have done this. It was listed on craigslist complete with IFS but no bites. I was able to sell the last frame from my other part out and it was worth it.

Swooped these on craigslist, I needed the tires to replace the BFG A/T's on my mom's 2004 Sport Ed. 2014 4Runner rims with 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler H/T.

The rims are 17 x 7 1/2, I like the way they look. I also really like my current set of Tundra rims.

So here's what I'm thinking... new muds on these? Or stick with the old ones?

Or screw it, how about keep both sets and rotate like the turbo truck? These fit both trucks so I could use them on whichever one.

Thoughts appreciated!

I'm quite pleased with my turbo truck handling the weight, 4 wheels and a 33" BFG Mud terrain spare in the back, no sagging. Mind you the truck has stock worn springs and ZUK mod (2000 4runner rear coils sandwiched between the bumpstop and leaf). This is probably info for another thread but whatever lol

to comment on those new toyota rims, i thought they looked pretty good when i first saw them. i like the design, hows the offset?
if anything like the tundra since they are 7.5 wide they must sit a little inward? unless they gave it some offset this time around.

Really love how you have transformed what some might not even glance at into a truck that everybody drools over! It's got to be your attention to detail that keeps us coming back for more. Everything you do is always so CLEAN!!!

Do you ever have just a normal day? Like go to work, maybe a night class, then go home and sleep? Or is it always something crazy AMAZING going on?

WTF is wrong with people driving down your street? Is there a big bullseye on your property that is just always off camera so we can't see, but people think that they need to run into your vehicles to hit it? :wtf:

I think I remember somebody saying you have too many pics, but I say you don't have enough!!! We want to see more!!! :rockon:

I have to test fit one of the wheels to clarify on the offset. Hopefully the spacers should take care of it if they stick further in. I think I'm going to use them, I have an old set of 32" BFG A/T's I could put back on the old wheels. thanks for your opinion.

Dude, speaking of people hitting me, you must be right about the bullseye. I got hit on February 4th, 20 feet away from home. $4,950 in damage and two weekly doctors visits.

My Supra is coming along great, I have a lot more things to get, but most of the expensive bits are already here. I'd like to get it to Supras In Vegas this September if possible. t will be running 550cc/lexus AFM/AFPR, CT-26 57 trim, lightweight flywheel, rebuilt 7MGTE, rebuilt R154, and 3" exhaust. Also doing brembos, eibach lowering springs, sway bars, and MKIV TT rims.

Very good you'll be happy with that setup. Should have no problems pushing out 450ish to the wheels depending on PSI. Was walking BPU++++ MK4's back in the day with that setup before I went wild with mine. Way in the early 00's

A little update on the truck. I stop driving it a month ago and got cracking on fixing it up.

since I have:

- replaced both inner tie rod ends with Sankei 555 ITREs. Old ones were way loose and caused some funky handling
- straightened my bent lower link on the left rear
- replaced the lower panhard bar bolt (old one was too thin, too much side to side movement)
- repaired a stuck piston on the left front tundra caliper + new rubber boot
- Akebono Front brake pads
- readjusted rear brakes
- Traded my extra set of Supra seats for a 12" JL sub, it plugged right into the spot where my 10" Rockford subs used to be (before someone bashed my window and stole them, of course)


Coming soon:
- SR5 leather steering wheel. Was a little dry/rough in some spots, but I've spent time massaging it with leather conditioner. The imperfections are less noticeable and the leather looks awesome compared to the non leather.
- Install '14 4Runner 17x7.5" wheels as soon as I get some new tires, most likely mud terrains this time around

I haven't checked in on this thread in quite a while! Nice to see the expanding garage, you have an amazing collection of vehicles my friend. Im really impressed with your 1st gen, very clean and tastefully done. I don't know how I feel about that for sale sign in the window though..

Bummer on the break in, even though it was a while ago. Nick hit the nail on the head, I would almost never take my truck to the pick a part yard either. Sketchy ass place, that was exactly what I expected to walk out to every time I took my rig there.

Anyway, good to see you are keeping this beauty in tip top shape. Shes gonna be a collectors item one day.

ChildrenofBodom: Going way back to your fuel gauge problems. Do you know if those parts are still available and if so where. The best I can do is $220.00 for the circuit board thru my local dealer. I have a '99, SR-5, manual transmission, 4WD. I am original owner and this is my daily drive. Working on mild mods but the fuel gauge is really bothers me. I will try Seafoam but I would really appreciate help with locating the necessary parts. Sender and suction pipe already replaced.
