This is the process I use:

Clay Bar (optional), Ultimate Polish, Ultimate Wax

It works great but is SOOOOOO much work. Took me like 8 hours to do the wash and all three coats.

Clay bar and ultimate compound (for me) is a once every two years kind of thing. But wow was it worth it.

BTW have you ever tried Meguires Ultimate Compound Polish?

I used it for the first time last week on my truck and the results were amazing. I think it would really bring out the red in your :tsk:2nd gen.:nono:

I didn't use a polisher, just hand wax-on, then wax-off. It was a lot of work but the results blew me away. Definitely more than just wax coat, its like a SUPER wax coat. :wow2:

We have Meguiars products at work including the ultimate compound polish. It is a nice high quality product and I do plan to use it on the truck when I can drive it to work. It will be getting the full treatment especially after the decals come off. The single stage paint sure is interesting to work with.

Good news. My Killer Toy Tops Bikini Top is being shipped Monday.

I spoke with Kirk about making me one with straps, as opposed to the usual strapless bikini.

I plan to mount the straps above the tail light, the angle flows nicely.

Old tires... dated 2001 and cracked to all hell. Uniroyal Laredo 265/75/16. These are the same tires we use on the shuttle bus at work, not an exciting tire.

That is correct. That's one side of the shop, the other side is just as long but with lifts on both sides. 74 total.

Upstairs is an equally large body shop and a small tire shop.
