I would like to join you guys, I am from the NYC metro area ( Downtown Jersey City )

I have not posted here before, but i am also on the forum daily.

Basically i accidentally bought a 4runner. and been mucking around with it and loving it.

Impulse purchase 1. DOG 6 months later impulse purchase 2. 2nd Dog.
so now they didnt fit in my Pontiac G8GT. Excuse to buy a bigger car. Both are super awesome GSDs.

I heard from a lot of friends how safe the 4runner is, so took a test drive ; loved it a lot. 2hr and a few signatures later I had my Runner. I called it "untamedROCK"

UGH...you beat me to the Monday bump. Did you tune your CB? Is there anyone that will be around the Cove who might have a CB tuner?

I am bound and determined to bring my cool a$$ 3rd gen body lift or not, with the new CB. I will need to tune it though.

It'll be drier and warmer than Expo east, WINNING.

I'll be rolling in Friday early/mid afternoon sometime, leaving Sunday morning to hit the road back towards CO... already planned my next trip.

Trying to figure out how far ahead I need to plan and if I need printed maps to both get there and depart back towards Colorado Sunday. My truck has nav but prefer using the phone. I don't really have many detailed maps of the east coast anymore.

I'm leaving Asheville Thursday but camping up around the border then finishing the drive the next morning.

Cell coverage for me was pretty good but I have Verizon...

As far as dinner goes Saturday night Hightech will be grilling burgers and hot dogs for everyone. We will bring buns and condiments. If anyone else Wants to add group sides that would be killer.

I had pretty much no coverage at the campsite. I turned my phone off when we got there and only picked it up a few times to take photos. On some of the trail runs there was coverage but it was spotty at best. I have AT&T.

Another amazing day in Asheville... One more Mtn bike ride then I'll start my trek north towards the cove tomorrow. Heading up the parkway and camping before finishing the drive Friday morning.

Trying to enjoy the journey as much as the destination. :thumb:
