Compiled: FJ Springs Lift Info for 4th gen

Its actually the same price as costco for coors light.

If it did not do anything for ride quality. Ill be ok with it being .5'' in lift. I dont wan tit too high of a lift anyway. I just shipped back my 2.5/1.5 dystar back to amazon.

UPS tracking said my dystar 1'' is delivered. So I should be able to complete the install this weekend.

Then I can relax and go back to my normal weekend routine.. Siding my soto in the canyons..

Woo Hoo!!!! Wally world got Coors for the same price...or maybe I just never notice the price. I'm the grab n go type. Gotta love Amazon. No matter where I find a cheaper price at I just contact amazon and they'll refund the difference.:cheers:

If you're looking to raise the front a bit. Then you should look for the Tacoma's coil as they're equally the same spec and it shouldn't be hard to find. I have a spare but shipping is like in the $20ish area I believe. If i had to do it again i would skip the FJ rear coils as the lift you get for the price is not worth it. The money would be better spent on a daystar lift in the rear. As for the FJ/Tacoma for the front I beleive it is worth it because as it gives the front a bit stiffer spring rates reducing the nose dive when braking and not bottoming out on speed bumps. I have 2014 FJ Bilstein's w/ a day star 2/1.5 and got 3" on my lift. As far as "budget lift" goes, this def takes the cake. Everything cost me $225.00

I'm running the same setup and no clunks here. Is it at all speeds or doesn't matter. Maybe have someone check it out while going over to see any movement. Maybe one of the mounts good loose?

Took apart the coilovers, shaved the bolts as per, put it back in. Clunks no more! LOVE it!

Next on the list.. Some 285/70/17 BFG Rugged Terrains

Honestly for the price and "prime" shipping, I got my front and rear from Amazon. Shipping was 2-3 days tops and ran me $355 total with shipping.

I ended up getting mine at Essex Distributors. The Amazon prices were awesome, but here in Canada it meant the shipping was going to be $70+.

Canadian T4R guys: I looked at every site on the web and Essex definitely has the best prices.

The more I read the more I think it makes sense, but at the same time get more confused about the springs....

Bottom line: what modification is needed to use 2013 FJ springs with Bilstein 5100?

I keep seeing 07-09 as the only years for spring use. What's the difference of fitment...?

No modification required for that setup. The modification is if you are using the shocks from the FJ.

Thanks Toy4R4Me for the great write-up. I currently have a Daystar 2.5/1.5 setup on my '05 V8 Runner and just ordered Bilstein 5100's and Moog FJ Coils for the front. Any thoughts on leaving the Daystar 2.5" lift on the front with my new setup?

Hey, just bought the Daystar 2.5/1.5 as well but I'm not sure they sent me the whole set. I have 4 spacers total in the box, but from what I've read on this forum the front should have 4 spacers on its own (I read that there was 1 topout spacer and 1 preload spacer for each side of the front. Not sure about the rear, but if this is true I should have at least 6 spacers for my complete front and back set.... riiiight?? Unless I'm mistaken, please someone shoot my some quick advice.

The 6 piece kit has been discontinued for quite some time now. The current kit uses only a top out spacer for the front, not the serperate preload/topout spacers. You should have the correct kit.
