Cornfed 1" front spacer to level only...

So many threads were helpful when I was trying to figure out my lift, I thought it might help to see another pic with a lift option. This has the 1" front and a custom 0.5" rear Cornfed spacer lift with 275/70/17 Cooper AT3. Easy lift, installed by Mr. Cornfed himself in his Virginia shop. I got to watch him make my custom rear spacers on the spot after I told him my OCD couldn't handle the 0.5 inch rear frame droop, with just the front in place.

What are you wheel hub to fender measurements with the spacers. Looks perfect

Had my 1" Cornfed spacers installed today on my 2012 Limited, and either I'm completely crazy, or bumped my head, but my truck runs better than stock. It actually runs smoother on the road, and especially on the fwy. I can't believe it.

All I did was have the spacer installed in the front. Am I nuts, or do these spacers make the ride better?

Please note my LE is a 2 wheel drive, not 4 wheel.

Alex

what is the cornfed spacer made? aluminum or polypropylene?
Do you have to remove the struts and compress the springs to install these cornfed front spacers? I know the toyotec 1/2inch top plate spacer you have to since the give you new bolts.

High density plastic. They provide lower profile nuts and you get to keep the old bolts. So the installation is simple.

Thanks! Since you using the stock bolts I guess you don't have to remove and decompress the springs which is good. Saves time and money. My other option is 5100 fronts set at .85.

I'm assuming that these cornfed spacers will work in combination with the OME BP51 that I am getting? It only gives 2" of lift and I was wanting 2.5" or 3" but I don't want to give up the ride adjustments that you get with the OME setup.

Hello Navydivedoc & mx355,

Is that pic showing ONLY the Cornfed spacer being used to lift or is there something else lifting it? If that's ONLY the spacer that's very good!

Did you get those measurements?
Mine is 37" rear & 35" front, stock.

Did you need longer strut stud bolts?

What material is the spacer made out of?
It's for my wifes 4Runner so i want to maintain the factory ride but just "reduve" the rake angle.

Thank you for your time,
Petros

I'm more if a lurker and reader and don't post much but some insight would be helpful. I figure this set up is fairly relevant to what the OP has posted.

I have a 2015 sr5 premium.
"Lift"
I want to put a top spacer in the front, either cornfed 1" or toytech top mount spacer.
I may upgrade to the 5100s later

Wheels
18x9 with a 4 to 4.5 backspace
I'd like the tires to be flush or a hair past the fenders

Tires
265/65/18 or 275/65/18 maybe the Cooper zeon ltz 285/60/18

This is the wife's DD. She drives a lot being in real estate so I don't want to kill the milage but give it some stance.
Pics would be appreciated, curious to see what it would look like so I can talk her into letting me do it.

love it...I am old school and would welcome a slight lift in the front. I purchased the cornfed spacers and have not installed as of yet and am encouraged by how they not only leveled but gave a slight front lift.
Great looking truck.

Just completed

I did this exact same lift about a week and half ago. I am loving it and so is the wife. The hood is level the truck looks level and was super easy to do. Also put Falken Wildpeake AT3W on the runner and looks amazing. For now we are very happy with this and will stay with this for the time being.

If anyone is thinking of this setup...I recommend just do it. You will be happy with it. If you have any questions just ask. I dont have KDSS so mine was super easy to do. Think it took 2 hrs max if that.

You just used the 1" Cornfed spacer up front and that was all? I want to get rid of the nose-down look on the wife's '16 SR5.

Thats it

sbronemann That is correct just the 1" spacer in the front and did exactly as advertised no longer the nose down look and great level view from the drive seat. Wife was even impressed with it.

I emailed David Cornfed and going back and forth with him-I think I decided to do the 2.5"/1" combo. I figure if I'm going to have to take it all apart, why not go a bit bigger right? My brother is going to do it for me and I'll barter some lawn-mowing with him for the labor. Sounds like a win/win!

I did a 1.5 inch spacer lift in front and it did not quite level out the truck.

David said there would be a very slight rake with the 2.5"/1" combo. But I do pull a utility trailer with lawn-mowing equipment regularly so it's not a big deal. Just don't want it to be nose-up like some I have seen(more in trucks though).

Put the 1" (1/2") on the front about 6 months ago and very happy. No need to compress spring. Use the bolts provided with the kit and remove the sway bar out of the way and your good to go. Make sure you get a front end alignment after install.

I went with the 1" lift up front mostly to improve the rake from the factory on our 16' LE. We do go off-road for camping and nothing too major and have had no issues. We'll eventually do something more when the factory suspension shows signs of wear but we've been happy so far. We have 265 70/17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2s on TRD wheels and there is some slight rubbing in reverse at full lock.

I'm surprised that rubs. I have the G2 Terragrappler's on our stock SR5 with no rubbing and no level kit yet. If I read that right-you don't have to take the struts apart to put the level spacers in? I was under the impression that you had to take the springs out and separate them from the shocks to put the spacers in?? Correct me if I'm wrong

You definitely have to take the struts apart as these trucks have heavy duty suspensions and there is no way around it. Also you need to remove the sway bar because it will be in your way.

Sorry to revive an old thread.....but im a little confused. Does the Cornfed 1 inch spacer provide 1 inch of lift after install or is the spacer itself 1inch thick and will yield a 0.5inch lift?

Also did the OP install a front spacer lift and a custom spacer in the rear?
