CV axle replacement recommendations

I installed a set of the Trakmotive Xtended Travel axles on my 2000 SR5: Xtended Travel™ | TrakMotive Part # TO8043ET - Same part for Left and Right sides. I bought mine through O'Reilly Auto Parts. Napa sells the same part with their house name for it. Just search for the Trakmotive Part #. Rock Auto sells them for about half of what others are + shipping. I don't trust that they're legit or not 2nds. I'd rather buy from a local store a lot of the time in case there's an issue. The part # TO8043 is an OEM replacement axle. The ET version is an upgrade, heavy-duty part designed for our lifted vehicles.

Autozone lists them, but I've never seen them in stock.

A "Damaged boot" voids the warranty. Like, if you tear the boot on a branch or a root or rock, that's not a defect. They are warrantying the original product from defects. Damage to the boot isn't a defect. A Failed boot due to a defect is another story. That's how I'm reading it.
Does anyone warranty the boots themselves on any CV Axles for the life of a vehicle?

Where specifically are you finding that? I'm not seeing that anywhere on the oreilly's warranty information.

About 3/4 down the page. Saw a post in another thread about Napa not warrantying them because of torn boots. Maybe a YMMV scenario.

Here is Trakmotive's warranty. Napa's version was modified in verbiage to fit their model as a reseller of said product.

I just read the above link word for word and see what you're saying. To me it seems like it's a pretty pointless "lifetime warranty." I mean, cv's fail internally, externally, but what is going to be the ultimate deciding factor that says whether or not I am approved for a warranty claim.
It's approaching a year that I've had the Napa 1258 axles on and still no issues, rips, binding or anything. I'm not saying these are the end all to be all, and like stated above, your mileage may vary, but I'd still recommend these and would even use them in the future if the need ever presented itself. I like them.

Seems like buying from Oreilly is the way to go. I have never seen them give a single F about warranty items. I have even had them go back years on a wholesale account that I used to buy stuff from and find purchases so I can return stuff I bought in different states.

Yeah would be curious what people are seeing now. Looking back over threads they're mostly 5-10 years old now on axle info. Diff drop, don't diff drop, stretch the boot, don't stretch the boot, use CVJ high angle boots, nope don't use those LOL. Oiy vey.
My boots aren't torn which is a surprise since they're 21 years old and I've been lifted 9 years and no diff drop. I'd like to have a plan as I expect to need to do something before too much longer unless I just get lucky.
I've not been an O'reilly fan as they've seemed over priced on most things around here and don't even accept used oil.

I can confirm, regarding earlier posts, that Toyota remans from the dealership are still on a “national backorder” blah blah blah.
So here’s the plan: no lift on my ‘09, and with 185K miles I decided on the Cardone “HD” axles from Rockauto (665235HD; $69/each). Since it seems the previous owner already replaced these axles with aftermarket (can’t find a white stripey sticker), I plan to put the Cardones in and then try to source OEM axles from a junkyard to reboot for when the Cardones start to leak in the (hopefully distant) future.
Anyone have any opinions on these HD Cardone acles, or Cardones in general?

FYI since this thread has been bumped.
I had a "let me know when back in stock" email set up for the TrackMotiv Xtended Travel CV axles (TO-8043XTT) on Rock Auto and recently got an email saying they've been discontinued. But I just checked the Rock Auto website and they do appear to have them in stock.

Tore both 20 year old boots it came with. Tore both 'Toyota' remans I replaced them with. Mild 2-2.5" lift. I see no need to spend more. I know these can be had cheaper but I'm fine with it.
