Been buying some Autometer gauges for the 4Runner and Corona, and found a fuel gauge on the cheap, but it was bundled with this A'PEXi timer, I didn't really care, mostly because I thought it was a knockoff, but it got here and I checked it out and it's genuine, so I think I'm gonna throw it in the 4Runner just because.

Couple small updates, first off Tacoma Whip is installed, reception is still garbage, I'm thinking it's a weak ground, so I'm going to splice the ground directly into my fuse panel once it's all installed.
Where did you find the antenna and the mount at?

Junkyard or the Toyota dealer, the whole antenna assembly is off of a Tacoma from 95.5 to around 2001, it bolts right into the stock mounting points and you will have to take the glovebox out and kickpanel out on the passenger's side, as well as getting to the back of the stereo, the antenna wires is hardwired to the assembly so you have to re-run it all the way through the dash.

Small updates...
Test fitted a pair of the LightForces, this is the best I can do with this bumper, they are pushed right up to the edge, obviously there's less room the further towards the center you get.
Decided on Yellow lenses when the time comes, one spot, one wide.
Also installed these little things in the dash, my 2 bottom cig lighters were bad in the 99 dash I swapped it, had to tear it apart and hog out the holes a little, but the fit good after that.
And relocated the rear battery, re-ran all the wiring between the 2 batteries, cleaned the hell out of the cargo area, chopped up the husky liner some more, and added some stuff, bungee cord, rope, and an extension cord.

Did an oil change, OE filter and 5W-30 Valvoline MaxLife, got rid of the TRD cap for good in favor of a 22R "TEQ" cap.
And a couple random things to make this worth posting, for some reason, ever since I took the dash apart to swap the tach, this is my e-brake light, worked fine before???

Went to the big swap meet today, mainly looking for stuff for other projects, but happened across a deal I couldn't deny, picked up this like new Kinetik HC1400 battery for 40$, even had the SAE adapters already.
Next to the old Duralast Gold (no idea how old, part of the reason I bought the Kinetik.)
and dropped into it's new home. (I really need to make a new battery hold down.)
I came this close to dropping 200$ on a pair of Vision X light cannons to fill the small holes in my bumper, but decided against it.

When I did it I swapped in the 4wd m/t harness. It's way easier than splicing or re pinning the harness imo. Once you have the trans out you can get to everything at the back of the engine easily.

After nearly 2 and a half years of not having power brakes due to various problems with the braking system, I finally finished it off yesterday.
Literally everything in the brake system has been replaced now, except the hardline, of course the main problem just had to be the last thing I changed.
Swapped out the booster after finally getting the right one from the junkyard. Went out to test it and stomped on the brakes for the first time, and it damn near ripped my face off it grabbed so hard.
Should fix my intermittent CEL too since the booster was causing a major vacuum leak when the brakes were applied. The Turd finally has a 100% clean bill of health.
Literally everything in the brake system has been replaced now, except the hardline, of course the main problem just had to be the last thing I changed.

They're out of a QX4, I had to do some bending a re-drilling on the seat mounts themselves, re-build the front mounts in the 4Runner, which inluded cutting the inside mounts out completely and welding in new ones from scratch, had to weld up a little bracket to come off of the transmission tunnel to catch the flat mount on the seats since the 4Runner bolts right up to the side of it. In the back the bottoms mounted up super easy, and the backs were just a matter of building a mounting plate and welding it in to the floor.
Definitely a lot of work, and not for the faint of heart, but worth it to me. It's the single mod that I enjoy the most on a day to day basis, and the seats are much nicer than any of the factory seats that came in the 3rd gen.
And yes, the seats are Power adjustable, 3 way on the driver's and 2 way on the passenger's as well as heated. It's all very easy to wire in as well.

Had to scrap the over-complicated small fuse/relay panel, just wasn't enough room for what I needed, made this simple 1/8" thick panel, just a straight 7" wide panel along the fenderwell.
The relay trigger wires from the switches ran really easily through the little boot that was already in the firewall so I didn't have to drill any holes, saved a lot of time.
And of course, now that that was done, I finally got to mount up and wire in my Lightforces! Still need to get some filters.
